Rubio has lost large market share...He will never dig his way out of the hole he is in. He just hasn't realized that yet or refuses to.

    I don't understand your point.

Do you disapprove of Rubio taking a new position on amnesty?

I was pretty rough on Rubio when he was with the Gang of Eight but he's over that now.

Or maybe he wants you to believe that he's over it.

    Could be.

But he also could have seen the light.

Considering how many changes, amendments and pork is tacked onto bills these days, maybe he doesn't like what his bill has been turned into.

If I were a Congressman and I wrote a bill that ensured Port Safety and some idiot in the Senate decided to put, oh, I don't know, maybe a bill that made online gambling illegal and my constituents were dead set against banning online gaming while issuing carve outs for horse racing, fantasy football and state lotteries, I might be against my original bill too.

Oh wait. Thanks Bill Frist, you (*)(*)(*)(*)ing jackwagon.

His stance on immigration was why I immediately stopped caring about what he had to say. The sad part is now I can't trust him. He tried pandering to open border Hispanics. Now, who knows where the wind will blow him....sort of like our other fair weather friend in FL, Charlie "I'll say whatever the F&$*$ to get elected" Crist. Screw him and sadly, screw you Rubio. You can't reverse your stance on an issue like this and expect people to trust you. I know plenty of Hispanics who all came through the right way and are totally against open borders like our Liberal friends. Its so sad, the hordes of illegal idiots the liberals will promise anything to, are what the future of our country will become. I weep for my kids.

I feel for Rubio. He had an honest wish to reform immigration in a way palatable to all--which is vitally necessary. We've been talking immigration reform for as long as I've been an adult, and I'm 48 now. He thought the dems were actually trying to do the same. He was fooled, and he admits it. the thing is, IMHO, if Romney had chosen Rubio for his running mate instead of Ryan, Obama wouldn't be President today, he'd be enjoying life commuting between Chicago and Hawaii in between overpriced speeches.

Rubio is the only politician that I've heard in years express the American dream fervently and unapologetically. At least here in NW FL, his campaign didn't run a single negative ad. (not sure what he did in the rest of the state, but at least up here he spared us that kind of garbage).

Rubio is trying to fool...the GOP Base....who hate him for his support of immigration reform last year.

He is DESPERATE to try to pull the wool over their eyes and "woo them back" for his obvious plans to run for President in 2016.

He needed to support immigration reform to win the General Election of 2016....but in doing so, he ruined himself in getting the Nomination from the GOP Primaries where the Base expects to hear "Kick 'em ALL out...no citizenship EVER!!!!!!" from its Candidates ...

Candidates who, by the way, will "sell out" just as fast as Rubio, once the Primaries are over.

Marco's problem was....he played his hand too early and got busted. Now he's hoping the Right's famous "short memories" will make them "forget" about 2013.

If he was honest?....he'd be sticking with it, despite the fact it makes the GOP Base royally p*ssed at him. And wouldn't be worried about running for President.

But he's trying to "nuance" his position now....so he still has a shot at the Nomination in 2016.

Rubio originally perceived correctly that the GOP was not going to win national office with the current immigration policy. Then the GOP decided to ignore that fact, and Rubio had to tag along with them, remembering what happened to Ex Senator Mel Martinez, who was removed from the leadership and forced to resign by the GOP bigwigs. Rubio may or may not be gutless, but he plays by the GOP rules, and the GOP hates the idea of immigration reform.

    oh come on GC....

    Its really pretty easy....

Anyone who votes for amnesty for illegals isnt working for the American people, and if theyre not working for the American people, they should get booted outta office.

80% of the democrat party should get booted outta office too, cause they sure as hell aint working for the American people either.

BVWC, if Marco won the GOP Nomination....you'd still vote for him....amnesty and all.

NW FLORIDA isn't like the rest of the state. So lets start out with that--it is the MOST conservative part of Florida. (Think SOUTH GEORGIA and/or SOUTHERN ALABAMA). Rubio flip flopped on IMMIGRATION. He is from the CUBAN COMMUNITY. Many of them have ZERO interest or compassion for the 'OTHER' kind of Hispanics. Frankly, I doubt Rubio gives a flying fig about them either. The ones that are here legally or born here CAN VOTE but Hispanics in Florida are a pretty good chunk.

However, RUBIO would not have helped ROMNEY one little bit! Which is why he wouldn't have made it through a long or short list of ROMNEY'S VEEP vetting--even if he could have helped bring in Florida. Bet on it! As I stated above, Rubio is a self serving POS. Good news, he's not dangerous. (Bad news, he's not smart enough!!)

The only people who benefited from the Gang of Eight comprenhesive amnesty bill written by Democrats, illegal aliens and the Chamber of Commerce were Dems, illegals and the Chamber.

Rubio got sucked into that scam but for whatever reason he's not with them now.

I'll count that as a win for the good guys.

He's 'over' that only because he got filleted for it. He's a flip flopping opportunist. He cannot be trusted ever again.

When I voted for him he was 100% against amnesty. Go screw, Marco. You are a lying POS.

He MUST be considered the enemy.

So, someone is upset that Rubio has taken a position that enacting a symbolic law which accomplishes nothing is counter productive? OK......

    BS.

The Dems have used the bipartisan (read RINO) nature of that bill to DESTROY the conservatives that oppose it. RUBIO IS TO BLAME.
