Well if another report on the same item from The Hill (the link found by poster LongTermGuy) works for you, then here it is:

Just more PROOF that this administration and Holder have no desire whatsoever to treat the IRS scandal and the so-called "investigation" they claim to be doing seriously. I doubt they have ANY kind of investigation going on. In fact, I would bet money on it.

The Staffer's request to leak documents to help get ahead of news stories about them was mistakenly made to the very office he was seeking to undermine and is just one more piece of evidence that PROVES this should be turned over to an Independent Investigator. Holder, Obama, and Democrats see absolutely NOTHING wrong with using the powerful IRS federal agency against their political enemies.

What has this administration done in this VERY serious abuse of power to cover-up?:

--made many emails from key players "disappear."
--destroyed computers and made claims it was "normal."
--leaked official documents to the Minority Staff on the House Committee, and telling them to "leak" to favorable press to spin it in their favor.
--stood by Lois Lerhner in her taking the 5th.
--fought against anyone in the WH legal team's testifying before the Committee.

It's Richard Nixon all over again....

Obama lied when he pretended to be "appalled" when this story first broke. There is ZERO proof that he was EVER "appalled."

No harm will come of this. It will be swept under the rug as the MSM concentrates of Obama's non-war war speech this evening.

Which is the Rightwing way of saying "We won't come up with anything...so let's blame the lack of any actual evidence of scandal on....'it was a perfect cover-up'....like the guys who think we never landed on the Moon say."

Would the Congressional record be satisfactory to you?

    http://www.scribd.com/doc/239206082/Issa-Letter-to-Eric-Holder-About-Brian-Fallon

Of course not. Fallon admitted he made the call. Is that good enough for you? Of course not? And why would it be. Bitter-enders who believe Obama is still a good President are so skilled and practiced at denying the obvious that nothing will convince you that Obama has been a total and abject failure.

Not too many of those bitter-enders left. Obama's poll numbers are in the tank big time! His foreign policy approval ratings are in the low 30's.

How about the Nixon era Republicans, remember AG John Mitchel having to resign?

I was a Republican who had to turn on Nixon because of his abuse of office.
I was a Carter voter who had to turn on Carter because of his incompetence.

When are some of the Obama supports going to show so character and admit they made a mistake and hold him accountable?

    - - - Updated - - -

What does his job have to do with anything, it's interfering and pressuring a Congressional investigation I could give a damn what his job title is. He should be fired and his superiors called to the carpet.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Oh how self serving.

Your lack of good news sources is NOT our problem it's yours.

Yeah the White House statement and the statement from Issa wasn't enough to convince the guy the veracity of the story, he STILL thought it fake.

The White House and Issa's office, stop making your self look silly.

Now how about addressing the issue, someone at the Department of Justice called the Congressional committed and tried to influence events on behalf of the White House.

So much for a DOJ investigation, time for a independent counsel don't you think?

They are incapable of holding Barack Obama accountable for anything whatsoever, and -- let's face it -- that might very well be due to his skin tone; because I recall during the Clinton Administration years when at least some Clinton supporters turned on their president in disgust over his intern diddling activities and parsing the meaning of 'is'. But Barack Obama? Most of them STILL act as if they secretly believe that he really is their . . . Political Messiah. As a matter of fact during the Clinton era when he was going through impeachment some of the most interesting forum debates were between liberals being for or against The Big Dawg.

Well back then the forums were on Compuserve and AOL, where helped moderated with Bob Novak and had few people taking part. There was no cutting and pasting of articles, you told what you had read and people took you for your word. The fact is the Democrats did NOT show the class the Republicans had shown and defended Clinton to the end and prostituted themselves over him. They should have marched over to the White House and told him be gone, pack your bags, you no longer have our support go face you legal and civil battles on your own. They did not.

During that time I posted on the huge forum system of Slate.com, which was called The Fray. It was only loosely moderated and so people could pretty much post what was on their minds . . . and so they did. Slate deep-sixed the Fray system about a year before Obama ran for his second term. Coincidence? I don't think so. Back then Fraysters spoke their mind in print, and many of them were not kind toward's the Left's Political Messiah.

I'm talking back in 1996-98 when Compuserve was just text and AOL 4 color text and it took about 2 minutes to download a simple low res picture! It wasn't even the Internet, they were just online services you logged onto. The internet was there but no one knew what to do with it yet. I remember telling people "yea I have internet access but there's nothing there"!!!!!

So was I, but on a different system. I began posting in The Fray around 1996. It was a slick and ultra modern and ultra fast system for the day; and I thought that all political forum systems were like that!

Obviously NOT. You do know this is all about not only Lois Lerner but Mr. Andrew Strelka. He seems to have strangely disappeared when the Issa committee would like to discuss the possibility of a conspiracy regarding IRS, DOJ and Mr. Cummings.

"The subject of the conversation was attorney Andrew Strelka, who is defending IRS commissioner John Koskinen in litigation initiated by the pro-Israel group Z Street. Prior to his job in the DOJ’s civil trial section, Strelka worked for Lois Lerner in the IRS’s Tax Exempt Organizations Division—where Z Street’s alleged mistreatment occurred. Documents indicate Strelka was kept in the loop about the IRS’s targeting practices."

"The Committee wants to talk to Strelka about this apparent conflict of interest, but the DOJ has refused the request, prompting a Sept. 3 letter to Holder from Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) accusing the DOJ of “conspiring with Mr. Strelka to prevent the American people from learning the truth.”"

Yea, I remember it well. I used Netscape to access the internet at that time. In fact back in 92' when I was sick leave I had a facsimile line, internet and email so I could communicate with my job. Oh the days of the days of flopping disks, 386's and slow computers.
