I've never agreed with this guy to begin with, but I could at least somewhat understand where he was coming from when he was voicing his opinions. But this goes way above what I thought this (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)bag was capable of saying, and goes straight into WTF territory.

I have no problem with Fischer being a Christian, but to believe that an American soldier must believe in God and that anyone else can't be trusted is a sign that Fischer is a far right moron. He also seems to be implying that all non-Christians aren't real Americans and that we're all "fools" who should be treated with caution and suspicion. My dad has served in the military for 30+ years now, and is an atheist. I bet he would be overjoyed to hear Fischer tell him he doesn't belong in the uniform.

I know some posters here at PF have tried to defend Fischer in past threads, but I can't see how anyone can defend this (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)'s statements anymore. (*)(*)(*)(*) you, Bryan Fischer.

Has Fischer ever served in the military? If not, he has absolutely no business speaking on such things and should really keep his mouth shut. Atheists aren't demons that hate their country. I have served with atheists, and can tell you I would trust them with my life.

A man where I worked submitted a written suggestion saying I shouldn't be promoted because I wasn't a fundamentalist Christian and he went further and said that only fundamentalist Christians should be hired as police officers because no one else has a concept of right and wrong.

    Nuts abound in this world.

Fischer has an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Stanford University, and holds a graduate degree in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Fischer served at the Cole Community Church in Boise, Idaho and founded the Cole Center for Biblical Studies and was the church's director for thirteen years. Fischer then founded Community Church of the Valley and was senior pastor for twelve years. Before joining the board of directors of American Family Association, Fischer was also executive director of Idaho Values Alliance.

Of course. He is entitled to his opinion just like we are entitled to ridicule it... What a great country.

Isn't this the same guy who said that we should "save" (In other words, kidnap) children from their gay adoptive parents?

First of all, who is Bryan Fischer?

Me too. During three infantry tours in Vietnam fighting right along side-by-side with them. But they were real atheists and not atheist wannabes like most "atheists." Real atheists are indifferent to religion whereas a lot of so-called atheists are just troublemakers conflicted emotionally in their beliefs.

Famous, but incorrect. Atheists do not convert when entering foxholes, and deconvert when climbing out of them.

How so? Because I don't agree with Fischer's assertion that only Christians should be in the military? Please tell me how that somehow makes me mentally ill, because it seems like Fischer is the one with issues.

Fischer is part of the problems we have in this Nation.

Especially when a man like this goes and talks about Unconstitutional Created Laws.

I dont see anything about "decoverting" in that quote. Perhaps there is an expanded version that you can link to?

WHAT COMPLETE BULL(*)(*)(*)(*). By your criteria almost NO AMERICANS would be allowed an opinion on military matters, including the current president.

What authority does "Bryan Fischer" have? He is entitled to his opinion.

Sheesh. The point was, your quote might sound clever to the religious, but it has no basis in reality. We all agree it's a quote. It happens to be wrong.

    - - - Updated - - -

Nobody is saying he's not allowed an opinion. But the rest of us are allowed to roll our eyes and laugh at him, since his opinion is idiotic.
