That's not my experience at all. Of course it's purely anecdotal but when I lived in California the black girls I met were almost all middle class, valley girl types. Nothing at all like what you seemed to be expecting. Of course that was many years ago and things could have changed.

 

As a percentage they are quite rare- which is why the trend in growth of Hispanic voters is alarming to the RNC- African Americans, Asians, Hispanics vote about 2:1 Democrat over Republican.

The percentage of blacks in the Republican Party, is 2%.

The percentage of blacks in the US is 13.2% as of 2014.

I wonder what the percentage of blacks are in the hierarchy of the Republican party, maybe still 2%?, I dunno.

At any rate...blacks have voted over 90% for Democrats in Presidential elections since the 90's.

and what does her race have anything to do with the subject matter what point are you trying to make by mentioning her race would anything have changed in your story if you would have said a girl without mentioning the race

if you feel her race was important enough to the premise of your post why stop their what color was her eyes and her hair

 

There's no chance of a romance with her. She is half my age and Americans still frown on interracial romances even in the modern age.

 

I personally don't think it was important for myself, but it is important to people here on PF.

And there are a lot of generalizations about black people on both sides of the political issues.

 

Obviously living under a rock has dented your brain. California is probably one of the most racial integrated states in the country. I see more interracial couples here than anywhere else. It's why I love CA!!!

Well, from that post it looks like you know how to listen to people... maybe that's what interests her. Take the relation for what it gives you - realization that we're much more alike than different. That would be a reward by itself.

These black guys slamming rap while consuming like crazies to prove they're big shots? They looked much apolitical to me. Stop seeing "libruls" everywhere. Sometimes people just don't give a damn about their, or the others' political uniform.

 

Although the age thing could be a problem for her, it shouldn't be one for you. If she's cute and attractive, I say go for it. She did come up to you after all. I wasn't there but it sounds like that could be an indicator of interest. Ask her out before you get friendzoned.
