sadly he wasn't. You don't remember Reagan, you likely remember the Reagan myth that was made after he left office.

we were attacked 5 or 6 times before he reacted.
his admin has the most convictions of crime than any other admin.
he did in fact trade arms, which was illegal.
he grew the size and scope of govt, despite claiming to want to make it smaller.
he raised real taxes paid, didn't lower.
he grew the debt by 270%.
the Soviet Empire was already imploding from within, though he might have sped it up, it merely bankrupted us.
gave amnesty to millions of illegals.
unemployment went to over 10% under Reagan.
Reagans job growth in his first 4 yrs was way worse then Carters.
Reagan paid, trained and equipped the mujahidin groups that became the Taliban.

this is a short list of Reagan but should get the point across. NONE of this is a secret, at least if you lived through the Reagan years.

I cannot disagree with you because, in this instance, you are factually correct. Mitch McConnell is just another "go-along-to-get-along-and-*****-about-it" RINO. There are a lot of other RINO's in Congress, too, and they have devastated the Republican Party, turning it into the anemic, gutless, disorganized political "movement" we see today. We on the Right perceive more benefit in a BOWEL movement than we do among most worthless things that RINO's are focused on today....

So, score one for your side, jac, although, as victories go, it wasn't a very glorious one. This is a country that has forgotten what "victory" -- in ANY sense -- means.

The problem is Obama is not smart enough to be a war president. He is too dumb to listen to the military. But then what can you expect from a man that needs a teleprompter to talk to a class of 6th graders?????

I noticed that. I gained a smidgen of respect for the Code Pink ladies. At least they're consistent, unlike the mass of 0bama nutlickers.

There's simply no way an 0bot can be respected. The wires don't connect. The lights aren't on. They're good for only one thing: pure comedic entertainment.

Alas I agree with you. Back during the Bush era I posted on the side of leftwingers (without being one of them) and I was with them and with Cindy Sheehan in principle when they were united in their bitter opposition to Bush's Iraqi War Venture.

But the instant Barack became president those same formerly anti-war leftwingers almost universally stopped being against the Iraqi and Afghanistan war ventures because it was at that point all in the hands on their holy Anointed One. They tuned out Cindy Sheehan, and when she would NOT cut Obama any slack for continuing Bush's war ventures they turned on her and also on the double handful of leftwing anti-war people who had not yet put away their placards and gotten on the 'worship bandwagon' where President Obama and ALL OF HIS policies were concerned. They also got very angry at me for continuing to be a war critic.

This is the same plan he wanted to do earlier. Wanted to arm the rebels to attack Assad. The rebels that are killing innocent people. The rebels that are composed of Al Qaeda members.
    How is this plan different?
    Where is the Saudis?
Where are the moslim army fighting Isis? We keep hearing how they are against them.
Do me a favor and pass by a mosques today and see all the anti Isis stuff they have posted.
Let me know I will wait.

I think you're misreading the results of the poll, Gatewood.

Clearly, most Americans do not believe in his plan. I am sure that this is contributing to their lack of confidence in Obama's own ability to degrade and destroy ISIS. Perhaps, they perceive that he really doesn't have the will to do what is necessary to degrade and destroy ISIS?

The Saudis are training Syrian troops, funding the Lebanese army, arresting ISIL at home and freezing their assets.. and protecting their borders with Yemen and Iraq.

Isn't this Obama's plan. You can show me all your stupid cartoons and photo shop you want or your typical you don't know what your talking about crap.
This was what Obama wanted to do. Arm the rebels that we don't have a clue to who they are. There isn't a true leader in the whole movement. There isn't isn't any kind of order or organization. There isn't anyway to tell who is Al Qaeda or Isis or a good guy. Yet Obama wants to arm and train them.
First he leave our weapons to fall into Al Qaeda and Isis hands now he wants to arm more.
This is who your savior wants to arm.

    dujac,

You are a good and loyal lap-dog to this useless, dishonest politician (that your ilk considers a leader , I can only assume).

If you like, (since I am so fond of you) once your Dear Leader uses his pen and his phone to abolish the 22nd Amendment, and makes himself Potentate For Life, I will put in a good word for you with him and his staff.

Surely a lick-spittle, adoring, gushing, teen-age girl of an Obama fan like yourself deserves SOME consideration, once The Fourth Reich formally makes it's move.

I'll hook you up, don't worry.
I have some influence in these matters, trust me.
    I'm a well-connected guy.

You are correct Talon. I meant to say, the majority believes that the U.S. needs to do something about ISIL. It's just that they believe someone other than Obama should be in charge of U.S. forces.

And funding terrorist. What do you think will happen when Obama's funded Al Qaeda finally over throws Assad? There will be a vacuum for Al Qaeda to walk right in to rule. Thanks to Obama arming and training.

    Well, clarify then.

Is it that you truly are a shameless cheerleader for this useless, dishonest politician
    or more a matter that
you utterly hate all conservatives, independents, libertarians, and anybody else who doesn't feel precisely the way YOU feel and hate the way you hate?

In that regard, you may be much like the radical muslims dirt-bags currently making the headlines all around the globe.

    Big difference.
