Libertarians who believe in the constitution such as ron paul are the true patriots.thats why we have paid shills on this forum that post childish gifs making up crap about him since he believes in the constitution unlike these criminals in washington and in congress or each demopublican or reprocrat president that we have had ever since the 1981 election who have all served the bankers instead of the people. people like eric snowden as well are patriots.
further proof obama is same as Bush from this corrupt two party system.neither believe in the constitution,if you are not evil like Bush and Obama who has continued all of Bushs policys, then according to obama and bush, then we are not patriots in their minds.
Actually that is a subject that is often misunderstood by many people now. Unfortunately the mainstream media has a tendency to take his quotes out of context and twist them into something that is not meant. Here are a couple of articles which clear up what he really meant: http://www.catholic.com/blog/trent-horn/rush-limbaugh-doesnt-get-pope-francis http://catholicexchange.com/pope-francis-economy - - - Updated - - - How exactly is agreeing with the Tea Party Republicans the same thing as ignoring the Catholic Church?
I personally feel their isn't a political party out their that is patriotic. They will say one thing to get elected then turn right around and do just the opposite. Our men and women who are defending this country on the front lines are our true patriots and heros. They have volunteered to defend this great nation. None of them are forced to be where they are.
Based on the Catholic.com article, it seems like he's as the very least advocating interference with voluntary trade and association. "Profit is not the only indicator a business is doing well" - true enough, but you don't make a public statement like that without encouraging some sort of action to rectify the discrepancy. It might not be "let's get rid of what's left of the free market system and socialize everything", but its troubling indeed. I always noticed a compassionate strain growing up with a Catholic education. Granted, many have their own interpretation and socialism is not an edict of the faith, but you can usually spot them based on the sort of language they use. Seems likely that he at least wants some sort of intervention: food stamps, unemployment insurance, universal healthcare, consequentially high taxation, etc. Such things aren't Socialist in the academic sense, but they definitely form the platform of the modern Fabian sorts.
