Death panels have always been a part of that pile of steaming poop that few bothered to read. The useless eaters think that because nobody has suggested lining up old folks and shooting them, death panels in any other form or suggestion don't exist. They're simply not smart enough to think past the noses on their faces.

I had already read it (I subscribe to the Atlantic), and I knew at once how preposterous the claims the OP is making.

There is no reference at all to the Affordable Care Act anywhere in this article. No mention of public policy. And no discussion of the fictional "death panels".

All that was made up and inserted by far right wing ideologues.

Ezekiel J. Emanuel is merely pointing out that the much promoted idea that people can live a health and independent life almost up till the day they die is largely a myth.

Which has nothing to do with Obamacare.

But when you're desperate to make something up to support a long discredited lie, you have to grasp at whatever straws are available.
