this is one of 7 deer I took last year. All were taken in November with a 50 cal muzzleloader. Love the black powder. Love shooting and hunting. Thank God for our second ammendment.
niiiiiiiiiiiice. Bow season opened up here over the weekend. Hunting with a snow plow blade/w truck will open up in a couple of weeks........... Already practicing with my shotgun. I really need to find a .410 at a good price or trade
I had a good friend that use to hunt with an old 410 single shot with a slug. He put the hurt on deer with that gun. No rifled barrel or anything special just a plain Jane 410. It would absolutely put a hurting on a deer. Bow season also opened here yesterday. Still just too hot for me to bownhunt. If you killed one you would need to pack the cavity with ice and then worry about getting it cut up quick. I will probably bownhunt in a couple weeks if we get some nice cool mornings that takes up till noon or so to warm up. Gives you a little more time.
