Have you heard of Eve Valkyrie? It's not out yet but it's a space flight sim. It looks pretty interesting. And I don't know if you ever watched Battlestar Galactica but actress who plays Starbuck lends her voice to the game.

Been playing Destiny for the past week on the ps3. It's got a good foundation but has had a poor execution. Right now their isn't much of a story and it gets very repetitive just trying to grind. If they can fix that then it would be an incredible game I think.

Beat Skyrim for the third time (but continued playing almost everyday for a year). Then beat Fallout 3 for the third time and continued playing for several months. Then beat Fallout New Vegas for the second time and continued playing for a couple of months. Then just started playing Call Of Duty: Ghosts today. I'm so used to the Bethesda format used in the other games that I'm trying to get used to the new controls in this game. Still in the very early stages.

I heard about that, it didn't seem like the kind of game I would want to play. Any other game?

It depends on if you enjoy first person shooters or not. In my opinion it has one of the best engines that I've ever experience with smooth shooting mechanics. It's just that the rest of the game wasn't able to meet expectations. It's still early in its life though so hopefully there will be some massive improvements over the years.

Just started Metal Gear Rising yesterday. I'm a huge fan of the series. A lot of people have complained about the lengthy cut scenes in the previous installments but I've always enjoyed them. The history and lore in the series is just so rich and full that I can never get enough. I can't wait for Phantom Pains to come out.

I like the genre but I feel like it's just the same stuff over and over again now. There's no real story line to it. That also being said I haven't played any of the metal gear series, so it might just be my ignorance above anything else on the genre.

On my 3rd playthrough of "Alien: Isolation" and it's still turning me into a scared little toddler.

Man 3 was great. I'm looking forward to the next Farcry. My favorite weapon was the recurve and I was excited to see that it was included in 4. Also glad to see that they've inserted throwing knives into the game. I always thought the 2 would have made a great combo but we just didn't get it in 3.

I'm still playing a lot of Destiny for whatever reason. At this point I'm just trying to get all my characters as high as I can. The problem is I can't get any higher then level 27 because I don't have the necessary items needed to upgrade your equipment.

The one I'm getting excited about right now is Dragon Age Inquisition. Which is weird because I didn't think the first one was that great and I never beat the second one.

Far Cry 3 was a blast. It feels like they kind of half assed the second island though. You went from lush tropical foresty type stuff to basically Scotland with nothing but grass on the second island. The view got boring pretty quickly and the wildlife was nonexistent compared to the first island. The quicktime boss battles also sucked big time. They got a lot of flack for it though so hopefully they listened and didn't put it in 4. Can't wait for FC4. :cheerleader:

Borderlands, lots of fun and replay value. I would suggest turning off the black outlines and cell shading though as it greatly improves the look of the game.

FC3 was absolutely great. What a great open world, and loved the side missions. Really looking forward to FC4.
Favorite mode of transportation was the wing suit.
Favorite reason for starting the game, was the very sexy Citra.

She was definitely an interesting dynamic. And normally I'm not a huge fan of the villain simply because they seem so generic but Vaas is one of my absolute favorite bad guys ever. He was intimidating and frightening. Such a shame he was underused in the way that he was.

Agreed. The second island was pretty bland. And I hate QTEs. They completely detract from gameplay experience.

Regarding bad guys Vaas sp? was definitely a good one. My fave is still Handsome Jack though. No other villain has paid me to make sure that his own grandmother AND the assassins he sent to kill her are all dead. :roflol: He even paid me to go and jump off a cliff.

Better than 2 I think not to put down 2. Near the end and stuck trying to blow up the Sat dish and having to go WAY back when I start over the next day!!! Wish it had more instant saves and restores. Reviews of 4 look even better so Destiny may have to wait a little longer.

I like to snipe and haven't used the bow too much. Sniping is one of the best things about the game, learned to get the 50 cal. to take out the guys in the hoods and body out from afar!! I do hope they tone down the driving controls to more like 2, in 3 they are VERY twitchy, too twitchy and I haven't figured a way to tone them down. I play with mouse and keyboard on PC which I still prefer over a controller for first person shooters. Man I wish they would come out with a mouse controller for consoles, someone would make a mint if they did. In fact I have FC3 for Xbox but got frustrated with the controls and got it for PC.

2 wasn't really that interesting to me. It seemed to be lacking something. A lot of people seem to have enjoyed it over the third one though so that just goes to show personal tastes.

I'm not much of a sniper. I would use it occasionally but I preferred to stalk my targets with my bow and to take them out silently that way. The only thing I would have liked better was if it had a quicker draw.

Destiny is okay but it gets so tedious and repetitive. Once you hit level 20 you need items to level up even higher and I've been stuck at the same level for the past two weeks because I don't have enough of what I need. It's one thing to grind but they have made it into a chore and that's something no game should ever be.

Eh, there have been so many patches and updates it's a lot better than it was. Rubber-banding is the only problem I run into.
They have been working on it, but the reputation of EA isn't great for fixing their products.
I wish someone else was making it.

Still, 90% of the time I play it runs fine, and with the numerous weapons/vehicles/maps... it is probably the best war game out there.

Just my opinion. And I was never a COD player so that bias is not included ;)

Really looking forward to Battlefield Hardline. Cops and robbers on city maps. CTF type gameplay. Robbers stealing money, cops getting it back.
Carrying money bags makes you move slower, like in Payday 2 (great game also).
Lots of driving, crashing, zip lines, and street shootouts.

The beta was a blast, and ran well.

Ill play it at some point. I have to buy Alien Isolation, Far Cry 4 and the new Dragon Age of which I can only get two this month. My fave is still BF 1942 though because you could select the size of each sides army. It made it possible for my friends and I to pretend to be a small group of commandos going up against a huge army. Can't do that these days with all the auto matching and auto balancing crap.
