Obama said again today Ebola is very difficult to get, yet another fat lie from the idiot-in-chief.
It's actually easy to get Ebola if you meet someone infected and thousands are coming into the US
each day from Ebola nations, thanks to Obama. You don't see this stupid lack of protection by
the government in other countries. Only the US acts so ignorantly and welcomes infected people
    to come into the US.

The World Health Organization is now critical of the US and Obama policy towards Ebola.
The US is one of the few countries with an Ebola problem according to the WHO.

WHO states —The Ebola virus is killing 70% of the people who contract the disease, the World Health Organization said on Tuesday, and as many as 10,000 new cases a week could be reported by early December.

how do you stop them? I agree we should stop flights from west Africa, but how do you stop them from flying to other countries, and hopping around making it impossible to know where they are coming from? Relying on peoples' honesty to say they were in Liberia just isn't going to work. How do you completely stop all travel leaving west African countries to anywhere?

The one thing we aren't getting from the CDC is honesty. They said you can only contract Ebola from direct contact with bodily fluids; but when this second person emerged they are trying to contact everyone that was on that plane to test them. This tells me you can contract it from the air.

There's no evidence that it's transmitted by air. It's possibly transmitted by airborn bodily fluid such as a cough or sneeze.

What it should tell you is that everyone on that flight might have come in contact with her.

Any and ALL people in the affected African countries should be denied entry to any country. The ONLY exception would be those on humanitarian missions and only after quarantined in a facility set up, staffed and supplied by the home countries of those affected. Anything less is gross negligence.

There’s no proof that it isn’t. A cough is airborne. According to what the CDC has propagated, she would have had to cough directly on someone. She is a nurse and should know the proper way to cough. Don’t you think? Do you know the proper way to cough?

What it tells ME is the CDC isn’t being forthcoming. They could pull the manifest and see who might have been sitting around her and contact them, but it’s being reported they are trying to contact the entire passenger list. It doesn’t pass the stink test.

It's clear to the sane among us, obama is a major $%^# up.

He ain't got a clue about anything other than destroying this Country.

There is no Doubt we should stop all incoming flights from the area.

This is just one more reason to secure our Southern border.

obama and the left lack the basic common sense to protect us.

They put politics above the Health and Safety of the American People.

Spare us the Obamalie Bullcrap about ebola, which Obama will be calling the "JV of deadly contagions" before long, I'm sure.

It is AT LEAST as contagious as the flu; do you consider that "highly contagious?"

    Der....

You do not allow anyone past customs with a stamp from affected areas in the last 40 days.

We already have customs agents looking at every passport at every international airport... it wouldn't cost a dime.

    So true.
It is also supposedly very difficult to walk through the White House front door but we all know that isn't true because it happened very easily. Anyone supporting this piece of garbage at this point should call me..... I have magic beans to amuse your simple little mi.......er I mean they are magic and will grant your every wish.
Of course Obama could always put his ideology to the test and have his wife meet and greet all arriving travelers from west Africa. That way the rest of the nation wont panic. If he isn't willing to do that then he shouldn't be willing to put our families at risk.

I'm of the opinion the CDC isn't quite as good as it's reputation and title would have us believe. Stories and statements like this one sound like they have no idea what they're talking about.

Experts are handling this. Everyone feel better?

Yeah, we should have stranded our GIs in Europe after WWI so they couldn't spread the Spanish Flu over here. Wouldn't that have been grand?

    Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

I feel perfectly fine. But then again, I'm not prone to being a hysterical, knee-jerk reactionary, either.

What can we say about the Left Wing spectrum? The same group that supposedly sticks up for civil liberties, is the same group that a majority of its members are eugenicists. They love and adore us so much, that they want to kill off approximately 90% of the global population. Ebola may be it. We can only hope it backfires much like the H1N1 did.

Do you think the CDC is the only agency in the US and the World that has information about the transmission of Ebola?

Have you boarded a plane before? What would make you think that the people sitting around her are the only ones with the potential to contact? She could have sneezed or coughed while in the waiting area, while boarding the plane, while walking down the isle. Then there's the restroom... that tiny little restroom.

Ever hear of a passport, you know, the little book that countries stamp into that tells other countries where you have traveled? If the book has a stamp from a west Africa country in the last few weeks, they can't get on a plane.

How far back are they going to check every single person flying back here from overseas? I could leave Liberia, hop to Germany, Spain, Italy, England, Canada, then U.S. And all of that doesn't even have to be by plane? Can you imagine the nightmare in wait times just trying to get to your luggage? The only way to stop this is to completely close off west Africa; which isn't going to happen. People need to be properly educated, from medical staff all the way down to traveling citizens. We need a government willing to do this. I don't feel they have.

This has played out like so many of the other 'scandals' (Fast and Furious, IRS, NSA, Benghazi, etc...) from this administration, where they seem to have this uncanny ability to not be upfront and honest with us.

    - - - Updated - - -

Please read my previous post. The problem isn't them getting on a plane in, say, in Germany where you may have left west Africa. The problem is leaving west Africa in the first place. Once you get on that plane in west Africa you have potentially infected an entire plane, then a country.

Ebola qualifies as a sexually-transmitted disease, as it can be carried in semen. And with the rampant illegal drug use in this country that liberals are so passionately trying to legalize everywhere, this is definitely turning into a catastrophe of liberal proportions.

Obama isn't doing much except lying to people.
You do not welcome infected people from Ebola nations into the US as Obama is doing.
All democrats do is blame nurses, hospitals and others for Obama's failed policies.

It's true. 90+ percent of those who want to achieve population control lean far to the left. Look at Bill Gates, for example.
It's not "nutty" if the proof is in the pudding.

You are correct. The quarantine has to be as close to the source as possible. If all nations receiving direct flights from the affected nations banned those flights, then the problem is tremendously reduced. Its a question of the size of the "perimeter" you have to monitor - the smaller the perimeter, the better the quarantine, the fewer resources are required to impose the quarantine. Its much easier to monitor the few airports that have direct flights from Liberia etc than to monitor the 1,000's of airports all over the world.
