You obviously know nothing of the political landscape post Citizens United. Obama was a great orator, he was also a very popular Senator, and he was very, very good at raising money. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see this guy in the primaries.

What an intelligent response that was. I don't want to burst the carefully crafted bubble in which you surround yourself, but most real progressives aren't really the biggest fans of Obama, or a lot of other Democrats. Maybe it's because I work in politics and know just how hopeless Washington really is, but the midterms don't matter much to me at the Federal level. Congress will continue to do nothing.

He is very overrated as an orator. He's also had more than his share of embarrassing babble, although Biden holds the all time record.

Looks like Carson is the first "flavor" of the month. Who's next? Rand Paul? Rick Perry? Michelle Bachmann? This will be fun to watch. Pass me the peanuts and beer please! :)

Obviously he wasn't. Were you around in 2008? The point, again, isn't about Obama, it's about the political process. Normal people don't get elected to senior political offices, especially POTUS. This guy would be starting the race with a giant anchor around his foot, he's an unknown commodity without a built-in base of wealthy donors. I don't care how many readers of World Nut Daily contribute, he can't compete without major institutional party donors. Expect Romney, Jeb, or Rubio IMO.

He won't get past New Hampshire.

Just a point there is a difference for being critical of man who is black and being critical of a man because he is black.

I agree. He's up against the machine. It won't stop me from donating to his campaign. I really, really like this guy. He's refreshing. He's smart. I think he'll get smart people around him. Most of all, I trust him.

Really? Then why were most leftwingers utterly incapable of grasping that not so subtle distinction from 2008 'til now when criticisms were aimed at Barack Obama? Something in the drinking water, perhaps? Maybe fluoride?

No way would I write Carson off. There is lots of appeal for nontraditional candidates in the middle, and lots of people tired of the typical slickery there also. Would certainly wait to hear his message before jumping to conclusions. He's a natural "Antibama" being black and from the private sector, and who knows where we'll be in a year? Depending on how things turn out, being the Antibama could be very strong mojo. Money's NBD IMO, if he can carve out a niche of popularity, money will follow. He's also a near perfect GOP veep candidate IMO even if he didn't get the Pres nomination. Romney/Carson would be a very interesting ticket.

Keep dreamin Jeb, lefties, that gift ain't coming your way, and if it does, I'll vote for Hillary or a third party out of spite. LOL.

That is exactly what every critic of Obama has been accused of. Any criticism of Obama was branded racist.

If Dr. Carson would win, America would have its first true Black President. Obama is a sad excuse for one, and is a real shame for Black Americans since he is such a crappy first so-called Black President.

If Carson gets elected president and he gets to put a judge on the supreme court it might be the most conservative both fiscally and socially in 100 years.

Carson is a literal, young earth, 6 day creationist. Says that if God can create a mature man, He can create a mature earth.

    Yes. A goofball.

Go for it. I'm just telling you that institutional donors could easily quash even a large batch of individual donations, and they don't want him.

I have no idea who Citizens United is, and I don't care. Obama is great at reading a teleprompter, he is mediocre at speaking extemporaneously, and anyone that excites people can raise money, and I believe Dr Carson has an enormous amount of charisma. With the right political handlers, they will create the platform to raise money for Carson's campaign, and all Carson has to do is excite the crowd, it is all a show.

Excuse me, but the American People seem to have gotten well beyond the BS media. That's why the poll results came out the way they did this year, because people are so tired of the BS they started lying to the pollsters.

The '16 candidate is going to have to do more than just excite the crowd. The Dems are banking on name recognition and that isn't going to be enough. By '16 things are going to be in pretty bad shape around here, and if Obama does proceed with immigration reform by Executive Order we may well have the media focused on the court battle at the expense of all the other problems (they're really good at that, "defining" the problem-du-jour).

Anyone who claims they get their political input from God isn't going to make it through the primaries. It's really quite that simple. Bush hasn't gone away yet, and won't for a very long time. Looking into Putin's soul isn't going to cut it either. Carson is and will continue to be a non-factor, he has zero chance of beating Hillary so why is he even bothering?

You should get hip to Citizens United. It's why there's a "show", as you say.
