A friend this to his FB. This is great news. The government ought to stop wasting so much money attempting to regulate a plant.

Oh, and states rights. No where in the US Constitution does is specify the Federal government role is to ban drugs (especially amusing considering the Founders used hemp), this is soley a state issue.

It's been legal here in Washington for while and the world hasn't come to an end. And last time I checked Colorado was still there.

    >Marijuana diminishes both intelligence and ambition.
    >>Liberalism flourishes where the populace lacks intelligence and ambition.
    >>>Liberals seek to legalize marijuana.

Lately it seems like all politicians are druggies...

I'm a conservative, and I enjoy marijuana. It doesn't diminish my intelligence anymore than growing older does, and considering my job title is an engineer, I think I am doing okay.. if you want to question me on the 'intellectual' front, be my guest. Don't question me about subjective political crap though. Another reason why I and all conservatives shouldn't care about marijuana... who cares? what's it to you? Marijuana is pretty much pop culture these days and we definitely don't hear about people high on weed causing disasters that cause the loss of life... mainly the stories i hear are of teens using pot and families messed up because of the stigma against it's use. That is even rare these days, i think mainly because it's a non-story for the media now. They don't care.

I know a man very well who smoked pot for many years. During that time he designed a special kind of drill bit for the oil field. That drill bit set five published world records for drilling speed, most footage drilled and most hours on one bit. His drive and ambition was so strong that he often sent over a month in the field running the bits. He went to town to change cloths and visit his wife but he was far from home most of the time and sometimes he would sleep on the rig in the dog house. When he ran a bit, many times he would take control of the drilling rig while he was stoned and make his drill bit drill faster than any bit on this planet.

A step in the right direction, but I see it only covered medical marijuana. I'm sure it's a just a matter of time before states rights are respected, on this issue anyway.

Good. It is ridiculous to ban a plant.

I am drunk right now, and my intelligence is diminished and so is my ambition.

    What is your point?
