MOD EDIT>>>FLAME BAIT<<< The American economy is SO! much better now on so many levels compared to 2008 when Bush and Cheney tanked it that it's not even funny. Too! bad President Obama can't be elected to a third term and the prospect of another Republican elected to the White House in 2016 should terrify America. How quickly they forget
Buh buh buh nah nah nah!...you know how it works! If gas prices are down, they're down "in spite" of all the things Obama has done to make them go up. If gas prices are up, Obama did a bunch of things to make them go up, because he hates America. I don't know why it's not simple enough for you
MOD EDIT>>>INSULT<<< As to your topic, yeah it's such a stupid political move it cracks me up how both sides use it. Gas prices should never be used as a political meme as it makes you look incredibly stupid, as it goes up and down through different economic cycles. As someone who drives 30,000 miles per year in a car with less than 25 mpg, I am ecstatic!
Gas prices high, blame Obama because he has explicitly stated that he wants energy prices to increase DRAMATICALLY! Gas prices low, Obama deserves no credit due to the above! Disagree? Then you will have to admit that Obama wantonly lies MOD EDIT>>>INSULT<<<
Here he is referring to electricty rates but applies across the energy spectrum. "Natural gas, uh whatever the industry is...."
Obama's on record saying he wanted higher gas and energy prices. His energy czar actually said he wanted them to be as high as in Europe so that Americans would be forced to drive less. Global warming, and all that (*)(*)(*)(*). The lower gas prices we are seeing is due to two major factors - 1) the fracking boom, which Obama and the majority of progressives oppose. This can be combined with the increased drilling on private lands (drilling on public lands down, thanks to Obama and his party). And 2) The Saudis not cutting back on oil production, which is creating a surplus in the global oil market, leading to lower gas prices. Can you specifically say what it is Obama is doing with respect to energy policy that would necessitate a thank you from the US population? Seems like this is happening in spite of what he wants, in a number of ways.
I am just convinced the racist right can't help themselves.........they just hate black people. Remember every successful black person is because of affirmative action, unless they agree with them.......
On one hand there goes the $5/gallon gas initiative. And good riddance to that. On the other hand, demand isn't picking up for new cheap oil, so maybe we're circling into a new recession.
Funny coming from an "every black Republicans is an uncle Tom" Democrat! - - - Updated - - - This is enough. You want more? Do your own research. It is clear what he said here. - - - Updated - - - Overproduction can be a cause as much as lower demand can be.
If we are going to look for a political reason close to home rather than domestic issues as to why gas prices are dropping, well...what HAS happened lately at the US political level that has changed recently? Hmmm... I guess we have the GOP taking over Congress to thank for lower gas prices!
Obama's policies have nothing to do with the price of gasoline, probably because Obama has not implemented any policies.
