    Excerpt:
So, it's not really capitalism, republicans, conservatives, tea party or the top 1% after all?

How do you come to that conclusion? How do you go from "poor people are more likely to make mistakes because of worries and mental strain" to "The elitists are not working to rig the system and keep themselves rich and everyone else poor"?

What is that study proves that the wealthy have not rigged the system?

Half of it depends on how one defines "stupid". Do you really think that there are so many cows and chickens in this world because they're stupid?
The other half of it depends on how one defines "poor". Do you really think that the poor in America today compare to the genuinely destitute and suffering souls throughout history and in some parts of the world today?

The poor in America today are no more stupid than are the cows and the chickens and no more capable of surviving unless they produce either milk, eggs or votes for their benefactors.

I was worried there for a moment that you people aren't gonna show up.

It's the rich's fault, it's the top1%'s fault, it's the republicans fault, alright?

Your own failure and underachievement is everybody else's fault but yours.

Most liberals that I ran into think they are poor to the point that "they have nothing to lose" and we should "tear the whole system down". Except they have a plasma TV back home, dishwashers, Xbox and PS2s, internet connection, stuff a guy from India probably have to work decades for and a guy from Africa probably can only dream of.

If you fail, after being given opportunity, it's your fault. But people like you blame people for being poor when there are no jobs, because rich (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) sent them all to China to exploit child slaves.

During the last 250 years in the US, we have solved poverty every forty years. If the standard for poverty was what it was forty years prior, poverty would have been all but solved.

Poverty in America is the most prolific mobile-goal fallacy in public discourse today.

Poor southern whites generally vote Democrat? Maybe in 1960, but certainly not in 2015. That's a large portion of the GOP's base today.

"One month after the harvest, they're pretty rich, but the month before - when the money has run out - they're pretty poor," Mullainathan said in a report of the research, which was published on Thursday in the journal Science.

Brilliant Observation.......Man...Ya sure can't put anything on over those Harvard boys.

People with little experience dealing with money are bad at dealing with money? Way to go Harvard.

Next week Harvard will explain the results of their groundbreaking study on why virgins are bad lovers.

Logic, if a person are bad-feed the brain can not be as well-used as one of a person who is nice-feed

Are poor folks more likely to be stupid, or are stupid folks more likely to be poor?

The OP does understand that there is a difference between being stupid and making mistakes because you have actual worries, and can't stay focused , right?

Paris Hilton has been handed everything her whole life, and has the IQ of a mentally retarded hamster.

I don't believe poverty reduces brain power. I think lack of brain power produces poverty. Most people are poor because of the choices we have made. Bad choices produces poverty.

The wealthy make the system. The wealthy control the system. The wealthy benefit from the system at everyone else's expense.

But no, the wealthy have nothing to do with anything.

I have no doubt that poor people score lower on these tests. Unlike rich people, they're busy doing other things.

But why do you think this? What's your evidence? I believe the opposite and I've got reality as my evidence.

Y'know, any time any of you republican geniuses wants to play chess with me and prove how much smarter you are than everyone else, I'm your huckleberry.

If you drop out of school, you just made a bad choice and that choice is going to effect the kind of job your going to be able to get. It could keep you in poverty unless you do something to off set dropping out. If you marry a bum and have three or four kids by him and he won't work, or leaves you, you made a choice that's going to keep you poor. I think bad choices has more to do with being in poverty than anything else. Being poor doesn't make you dumb, or dumber. Making bad choices can make you poor.

I noticed years ago that bad luck dogged the steps of seriously stupid people.

That poverty doesn't make people stupid is obvious because a lot of poor people, who aren't stupid, leave poverty behind. Stupid people, even with money, can work their way into poverty so the connection is the other way around.

Two qualifying questions may be the answer?

    1. Can you sustain yourself and family financially without the help of the government?
2, Did you vote for Barak Obama for a second term?
