    Uhhh Litwin, you do know that fifty Russian Orthodox Churches have been destroyed in Ukraine, and the priests have been killed or tortured, and that the only churches acceptable is the Byzantine Catholic one and the unrecognized heretical Ukrainian Orthodox Church? :oldman:

    Litwin, you forget that Russia always consisted of Orthodox, Catholics, Anglicans, Lutherans, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and who knows how many other faiths. It also consists of over one hundred twenty ethnicities and languages. Let's not cover up the immense crimes of the Kiev illegitimate government by bringing up things which are almost non existent.

    No, but then do other faiths have equal status in Britain with the Anglican Church, or in Norway with the Lutheran Church? I think not!

    I don't think the Orthodox Church is supposed to bless anyone who is going to kill others...even for defensive reasons. It made a bad impression on the world in WWII, when the Pope blessed the Italian troops as they were going to invade Greece.

    I know the Patriarch in Syria finally said it was okay for Orthodox Christians to fight and defend their homeland, (not that they weren't fighting before), and I know that Strelkov who started and organized the militia, is very close to the Church and forbade his men to swear or drink. George Washington did the same thing you know? The belief is that if they went against God, then he wouldn't be with them and they wouldn't win.

    I know that in the Byzantine Empire if someone joined the army and killed someone, they were not allowed to receive communion for three years...which might be why they depended on fighters from Europe. In the wars later on, it was usually Europeans fighting Europeans. Interesting huh?

    zhanna you know that RPC is an official religion in Moscovy, but still they dont support Putler´s war on Ukrainian race, so question is why?
