Saudi Government was involved in helping the 911 attackers, says Bob Graham former chair of Senate Intelligence committee. Saudi Govt capitulated to Al Qaeda in giving them support for AQ affiliates in the US.

15 of 19 terrorists were Saudi. 160 Saudi's living or visiting US were allowed to leave, including relatives of Bin Laden.

Wants the FBI to ask President to release 28 classified pages.

For clarification, Graham does state that there is no clear evidence that shows the Saudi's knew what Al Qaeda was up to. What this does show is that there was definitely a closer relationship between Al Qaeda and the Saudi Royals than we were led to believe.

This guy makes some harsh accusations.

Whether this guy is reliable or not ... It appears that the Saudi Government claims that it had never funded Al Qaeda look to be completely false.

I have no doubt that people in SA were involved.

were they govt. employees? members of the royal family? maybe.

That support for Al Qaeda has come certain segments of the Saudi Arabian public is well established. The Royals however, have always denied ties to Al Qaeda.

This latest inquiry suggests that in fact the Gov't was supporting Al Qaeda prior to 911. This does not mean that they knew what Bin Laden was planning but, it does mean that they have been lying about their support for Al Qaeda.

If we want a clearer picture, we could do no better than return any 9-11 prisoners we have to Saudi for the completion of their sentences (allowing the Saudis to pay for these) and observe how the prisoners are actually dealt with.

If they are released, we have our full answer.

Hmmmmm ... I am not sure that we would get a full answer. All the actual 9-11 perpetrators are dead. Who then would we return ?

If we are talking Gitmo ... for many of the folks that were put in Gitmo it can not be shown (there is no hard evidence) that they were linked to the 911 attack.

For the few where there is evidence, not sure how many are Saudi but, the Saudi's might just kill these folks for show.

Isn't that one of the major jobs of government though?

Interesting question. Since the dawn of time, one of the primary interests of Kings and leaders was how to control the raging masses. When the masses revolted they often killed the King, his extended family, and supporters.

This was "secret knowledge" that was passed down to the elite. Religion was found to be a very effective method of control long, long ago.

The Egyptian Religion had the concept of "maat". This was something like karma where at the end of days ones deeds would be weighed on the scales of justice. If you were found to light you were fed to a monster.

Methods of control evolved over time. In Religion, one of these evolutions was that he "fear factor" was increased. Being fed to a monster - and that was it- was scary but, they could do better.

Zoroastrianianism (600 BC or earlier) had increased punishments in the afterlife.

Christianity really ramped up the fear factor when it got power after Constantine (325 AD) with a subtle twist. Instead of just being punished for your deeds you could also be punished for "not believing" or questioning the Church and/or its leaders.

The punishment you would receive was the worst thing the mind could imagine. The most horrific of tortures in the afterlife. Not just for a few days but for an eternity. This is a very sophisticated mind control technique.

Muhammad saw the huge success of Christianity some 200 years later and ramped the "fear factor" up further. The Quran emphasizes the "fear factor" on every second page of the book. "If you do this you will suffer eternally, do that and you will burn forever in the fire" .... every second page, on and on and on, over and over and over. Repetition is another technique used in mind control.

Christianity moved to control peoples thoughts. "Do not question". They tried to destroy any knowledge that could conflict with religious doctrine. The closed down the centuries old schools of Philosophy ( do not want people learning logic, logical fallacy, or what constitutes a good argument). They burned libraries and discouraged learning. Owning a Bible for other than clergy was illegal.

1000 years later kings and queens were mostly illiterate. Many local Priests could not read the Bible.

Why is it that today, through 12 years of school, our kids are not educated in Philosophy (logic, logical fallacy, and what constitutes a valid argument) ?
