I know that most of participants do not accept my point of view.
This is horrible people who smoke pot are bad and should feel bad. Its a very addictive and lethal drug not to be taken lightly. More people should look into drinking if they must have a vice it is much safer and less addictive.

I look only at facts. Surprisingly Michigan isn't one of the states. Seeing as we could greatly benefit from this new revenue and taxing of weed to fix our third world country roads. It is decriminalized in 5 (?) cities there yet the rest of the state can't recognize it's worth.

Highly addictive? Yeah right.. I used to smoke it a lot and drink as well, but I quit smoking it about a month ago and I had no withdrawal, but yet I can't seem to kick drinking to the curb.. seems alcohol is a lot more addictive.. and way more dangerous to my own health and others. Weed, without doing anything else obviously makes me feel good and enables me to focus in a way that I could not without smoking. Alcohol on the other hand, makes me feel good at first, then of course as I consume more, makes me super sloppy and unable to focus on anything. Seems that the OP has drank the kool-aid of reefer madness.

 

Lets cut out the bull(*)(*)(*)(*) and talk honesty. If you have ever smoked cannabis (even/especially only once) you KNOW almost all the negative propaganda is bull(*)(*)(*)(*). You're actually lying to informed people it hard as hell to pull that off. Lethal? You're delusional.

 

For those who smoked once it might be negative experience too. The bad side of weed also as of alcohol is psychological addiction.

Don't mess with opiates/alcohol/THC or any other types of that crap. You'll never know when you'll be called on to do something that requires all of you capacity. Ever alert and always vigilant.

 

Scouring my mind for possible occupations proper for someone who takes mind altering drugs, and all I can come up with is art teachers and musicians.

And there is a reason for this. Your "view" is based on ignorance of the subject matter, the constitution, complete lack of respect for individual rights and freedoms and critical thinking in general.

Why should anyone accept a perspective that is so flawed and filled with false and/or absurd claims.

First the False claims:

Pot is lethal ?? Since when and in relation to what. It is impossible to OD from smoking pot. You do not see people being taken to hospitals every weekend because of a Pot overdose. The same can not be said about alcohol.

Pot is addictive - both cigarettes and alcohol are far more addictive than pot. This is a scientific fact.

Second - that something is harmful or has a health risk is not "in of itself" a not legitimate justification for law.

When you figure out why this not a legitimate justification for law then come talk to me.

 

None of these states are all too surprising. I'm almost surprised that they haven't legalized it already.

It is your own business, however I don't want people taking drugs (alcohol, opiates, etc) to be in positions requiring responsibility. TBH, I don't care if you lick Peruvian Tree Frogs or eat mushrooms growing from cow patties. It's your business. Do what you want. I admit, that made me laugh.

 

Oh I do have an addictive personality.. it wouldn't take much for me to get hooked on pills and things of that nature so I just steer myself wide of even having that kind of stuff in the house. Even with the addictive personality the only real thing that I noticed when I stopped smoking weed is that my appetite dropped down a whole lot for a few weeks. I never had any physical urges like I needed to have it or I wouldn't be able to function correctly.

 

Of course not. Freedom means anyone can run any sort of garbage through their cranium as they will. It's your head. Do with it what you will. Please don't try to assume any position of any importance such as a bus driver if you want to trash your only valuable asset.

So everyone should get a daily drug and etoh test? No doctor , surgeon, stock broker, police officer, ac engineer not on duty should never have a drink? How about a stimulant? Is that off limits as well?

 

People aren't focusing on what types of people want marijuana to be legalized. It's just the potheads. It's all a self-centered issue.
