Well I probably will stay off social media for a few days. Some d*ckwad started a FB page that celebrated the deaths.. I and several others have reported it but FB says he's doing nothing wrong.

He's one of those who I figure could wear my wedding band for a belt or couldn't wear it on his pinky because there's too much blubber and would be quick to call the police if someone perpetrated an attack upon his person.. In other words, a geeky two bit troll that needs a beating thrown his way.

 

How about the paragons of "White Morality" of white thugs? Frankly, we have plenty of them as well!

In other gun related news out of Mississippi today.. A gun was discharged at the Bass Pro in Pearl. A salesman was handling a gun and it had a round in it and it went off.

I've been to that one a few time.. They always have trigger locks on them. My question is how did they get the ammo in the gun and why was his finger on the trigger?

 

Worry about them when they're the subject of the story. Wait long enough, you'll get your chance eventually. Somewhere out there, there's a handful of miserable journalists who, just like you, are waiting for the opportunity to find a real white on black crime so they can call the white people a thug. on wrongful termination..... I'm not super familiar with regular business, because I'm a contract employee, and get due process..... but if I'm to be disciplined for a facebook post, you better damn sure be able to prove it.

in education, we have facebook policies and guidelines.... but it never ceases to amaze me when teachers get fired for admitting they posted something. had they just not admitted it, they would still have a job

My best friend's sister had a crazy MIL who was mad at the fact that they wouldn't let her see the grandkids. So, MIL created a facebook account and slowly started adding friends from her DIL's friend's list.

after a few months, she began posting "I hate teaching all these retarded kids and can't wait to be at another school" (she taught autism)

2 days later, HR suspended her and wanted her to prove she didn't post it and that they were going to submit to the board that she be terminated at the next board meeting. They wanted her to bring in her computer, so they could get the IT guy to analyze it, but the union told them no, because she had private financial info on it and if they wanted to terminate her, they better prove she did it.


It also helped that her dad was an investigator and was able to trace the IP addy to Tampa, 5 hours away, and where MIL lived.

It would have been harder to 'prove innocence' had MIL lived in the same town

I would question the thinking of anyone who would seek to shut them up. If you disagree with them, then engage them. Don't try to have big government (or big Corporate, as with Facebook) silence them for you.

 

Mississippi is a right to work state. They can fire her for what's on her FB page. No questions asked. Buddy of mine in Alabama has fired people because he sees a post made during their shift. Perfectly legal.

My wife was fired by the owner of a Pontiac dealership because we bought a Toyota Van back in the 80's. GM had nothing like it and we were having another baby. SUV's were not around back then. Said he wasn't going to pay her to buy it! We had no recourse because it is a hire and fire at will state but then who would want to continue to work for such a jerk. Another dealership heard about it and hired he immediately because she had such a good reputation.

 

Yeah, it's a great site. They even have people trying to figure out which Subway she worked at. If she hadn't been fired then I'd suspect she'd be up a creek right about now.

 

Big deal the real horror was that the cops were shot down in cold blood. Why get outraged at some screwy statement made by a women. The anger and hatred on this thread is way out of proportion compared to real issues of cops being shot down and even worse protectors of our cities killing or maiming citizens. I'm not worried about screwy statements from people who have nothing to do with serving and protecting. It also insane to think that every person in this country who has a gripe against cops doesn't love our country. By the way I know some stupid racist bigots who command high salaries at large companies simply because the had the right connections.

It calls anything and everything with which it politically disagrees with a hate group, while being one of those tax haven companies you despise, spending money on itself.
