Sure, every Tom Dick and Harry has a bad model. Sometimes it takes an Einstein to arrive at the truth.

The funny thing about truth is, it's still true regardless of whether you choose to accept it.

How do you know they are learning anything at all if you don't test them? The problem is the tests are set to repeat back too much leftist nonsense. The problem is that we spend too much time teaching kids what to think rather than how to think because the former is a lot easier. Where are the semantics classes where you learn how to use words and phrase a proper argument? If you aren't one of the four or five kids in debate club you never here of it save disparagingly. And a hell of a lot of schools don't even have a debate club any more because debate is largely verboten, ever hail the ever more encompassing state.

Agree with you! These so-called Tolerance and Multiculturalism are real problem of today's schools.
At least because teachers often wanna show their relation to minorities (black kids for example) but they forget about other and after that we see articles about banning of word "Pig" in their books...

It may have said "Alabama" in the front, and maybe contain some material unique to Alabama, but the overall content is very likely shaped by Texas, and for some very good reasons. Here's a link to a book review that gives a better idea of what's been happening.

I used to teach biology. Nothing in the textbooks I used even mentioned creationism. I think the whole textbooks are warped by Texas thing is a myth. I've never seen a textbook that had conservative bias.

Tolerance and multi-culturism I could see these all being terrible problems... at your local KKK elementary school.

Take another look. Depending on your state (or local school district even), the biology books may not even MENTION evolution, or if they do (and particularly in Southern states), they may have wording that suggests you really don't have to "believe" in it. I also believe if you do a Google search, you'll find a LOT of articles on the subject of how Texas influences textbook publishers across the country.
