It's cheap unless you're working in the heroin den of the US.

We have to keep 4 1/2x the national average on site.

    It's an epidimic here.

    Let them die off.

So what? If you're ignorant enough to turn to hard drugs it's your own fault.

    It's only natural.

They simply supply what the consumers demand.

Legalize everything with no safety labels.

The addicts will die off, the forbidden fruit effect will disappear, and money will be made through taxation.

Not to mention those addicts on welfare will no longer leach the system.

has prohibition ever worked... no, cigarettes are legal and there is much more success there in getting people to quit

I agree with treating addicts as patients instead of criminals....

There's countries in east Asia where the war on drugs is both cheap and effective because when they find someone smuggling drugs, they shoot or hang them instead of turning them into a 20+ year drain on the economy.

I'm so tired of these pro-drug threads. Seriously, if ending the war on drugs is that important to you, then you must be using them.

Wait... The greatest doctors of the 20th century were.. Nazi's?

That did extremely gruesome things in the name of medicine and had the cure for AID's 80 years ago. Before AID's even existed. Didn't know that did ya? The same medicine is being used today.

So before you question my humanity maybe you should look at the scientific advances caused by acts of inhumanity. Mainly, in the field of medicine.

According to the latest treatments, addicts don't recover. They are always described as "recovering" but not recoverd or cured. However, the disorder can progress to a state where it is fairly easily manageable in a short amount of time. . Rehabilitation is a lifelong process but can be affordable if one takes advantage of all the self-help groups that are available and many insurance plans now cover the initial stages.

I've been told that the worst of all is smoking. I dunno about heroin but I can agree as to coke and weed, both of which I gave up fairly easily once I saw how costly they were. Smoking was worse. I've not had one in 30 years but had a pure nicotine fit on my 25th anniversary. If I'd yielded I would have been doing 2 packs a day in 24 hours. You never recover entirely

What, "doctors" don't know how to give links to what they say? Physician, cure thyself.

No, they weren't doctors. Doctors heal people, and the Nazis didn't do that.

There is no cure for AIDS.

Azidothymidine is rarely used anymore, except in mild doses for long term maintenance (meaning you're otherwise healthy because of the new high-tech antiviral drugs).

I do know that Dr. Mengele is considered one of the most monstrous figures ever to walk the earth.

More monstrous even than Torquemada, more monstrous than Hitler or Stalin or any of the rest.

This is not the 1st century. We don't use trephines anymore, and we don't use leeches. Modern medicine consists of complex computer-assisted biochemical analysis, genetic sequencing, and the engineering of special purpose cells.

He's no doctor. Doctors are highly educated, and would know the difference between "waist" and "waste".

If we do inspections of incoming shipments to USA (ports, airports), then opium / heroin availability should drop to near zero. It can't swim here from Afghanistan on it's own. The problem is we actually only inspect 1% of the containers that come to USA. That's gonna suck hard when Iran sends a dozen nuclear weapons in containers to USA and detonates them in the harbors.

You spend too much time extolling the virtues of Hitler. He was NOT the greatest economic leader of all time. The greatest doctors were not Nazis. I'm not sure how you neo Nazis keep finding your way to this website, but I wish you guys would just stay on Stormfront and leave us alone.

Both the Soviets and the Americans wouldn't have made it to the moon till far later if it wasn't for the Nazi technology stolen at the end of WWII. The Nazis came up with the first jet aircraft. The Nazis were the first to realize that smoking was actually bad for you while everyone else was still perceiving it as "glamorous" for decades.

Fancy that, smoking as "glamorous". The dumb morons of today probably still hold that opinion in the year 2015- although they might call it "trendy"- now. Your famous Hollywood did wonders for your society- men and women smoked through all those old black/white movies from the war years. And they haven't learnt- they're still doing it today.

It was only by a margin that German wasn't made the primary language in the USA. Roosevelt himself was even Germanic. Patton later claimed the Germans were the most cultured people in all of Europe and that the war should have been against the Soviets rather than the Nazis.

As for the heroin problem- what's a "free society" going to do about it? Nothing. You can't. People have the freedom to use it and so they will. You wanted the system, you deal with the consequences. They'll grow it on your land, they'll use it on your land. You don't even have the power to stop your own kids from using it, courtesy of your hyper-individualist/liberal society where disciplining your own children is perceived as abominable.

I don't suppose you are aware of the fact that the major US tobacco companies were well aware that smoking caused irreparable damage to humans for decades, but kept everyone in a state of denial about that. That was why various US states took them to court for recovery of tobacco related health care costs, and won massive compensation, part of the award'including payments in perpetuity.

Looks like you're quoting an urban legend on the US speaking German. See HERE.

Where is there a "free society"?

von Braun stole everything he knew from the American, Goddard, He should have made movies as the only real thing he was good at was getting money. Our major workhorse rockets are still just Goddard's designs scaled up, as were von Braun's.

Smoking was and remains a wonder drug for soldiers. It's a stimulant that relaxes so it keeps you awake and yet calm under stress. This is why we put cigaarets int the soldier's rations. The enlightened Germans used methamphetamines, that is crystal meth.

The first jet was invented by the Brit, Whipple in 1939 at about he same time as Henkel was making one. None of the chief combatants thought Jets would be usable over prop driven airframes before the end ot the war and that is what happened

If you examine German resources vs their present and prospective opponents in 1939 one question instantly occurs "What were they THINKING?"

Drugs should be treated as what they are, Medicine, they should be prescribed by doctors for people who have diseases or disorders. The government should not really be involved.

Drug addiction is a medical or philological issue, not a legal one. It only became a legal issue by government overstepping its authority to dictate what people can or cannot do with their own bodies based on a false moral perception.

The government needs to repeal all laws against the use of drugs by individuals and instead fund medical treatment.

    Really?

Listen, I'm all for revamping the system so our jails and prisons aren't overcrowded with petty drug offenders, but your suggestion would invite total chaos. Not to mention, some that do really need help, need some motivation and a big stick held over their heads, to go get the help they need.

I say we help these people by giving them free drugs...lots of them. Enough to permanently end the addiction through coronary inactivity.

I don't know much about heroin addiction but it doesn't seem addicts are much of a threat to anybody while high. That's why the Brits actually fed opium to the Chinese.

Moral corruption is like lying. Once you begin to do the wrong thing, you must continue to embellish in order to substantiate the original digression.

In this case, the government crossed the line when it enacted laws it did not have the Constitutional or moral authority to enact.
This put into motion a long series of additional laws to deal with the ramification of their original sin.

As a result, we have the largest prison population in the world where we manufacture criminals from people who simply had substance addiction issues. We have created a network of underworld gangs here and through out the world. And we have the blood of millions of people on our hands for creating the entire situation to begin with.

Ask yourself this, why is it that there were no Federal drug use laws prior to 1965? Drug use has been occurring in American since before the Europeans came here, Opium and Cocaine were both readily available in the 19th century. Hemp was one of early America's most profitable crops. Why then when drugs were readily available did not the country fall into what you call "total chaos"?

Why is it that during the 70's when everyone and his brother were doing drugs, right up to and including in the White House did not the country fall into "total chaos"

Why is it that the last three Presidents have admitted using "illegal drugs" and yet we allow them to hold the Nations highest office while at the same time ruining the lives of millions of working Americans for doing the exact same thing?

It is all a farce and a bunch of hypocritical BS, and anyone who still supports it deserves to be in prison themselves for crimes against humanity.

    See.....there you go again. :omg:

Some of your points actually make some sense, but then you fly off the deep end. So....anybody who supports drug laws of any kind (I assume that's the "it" you refer to?) should "go to prison themselves for crimes against humanity"? :roflol:

That's all you got? Then according to recognized rules of debating I will assume you concede the issue.

Since when are recognized rules of anything the basis for debate here? Here.... have a little weed on me since you obviously support it. :weed:

Now, as I said, I actually agree with you that we have a problem with our jails and prisons overcrowded with petty drug offenders. But your solution is not a solution. So I guess that means I should go to prison for some sort of crime against humanity? :dizzy:

Interesting that Afghanistan under the Taliban had all but wiped out Opium production, but since 2001 & the war on truth (terror) Afghanistan now produces 90% of the World supply of Opium.

Now I have really never been an opium user other than once, when I did buy 1/2 gram of heroin & smoked it. But I have always thought that the drug problem was either one of two things. People that wanted to try an interesting thrill & they move on & others that have fallen to the drug & feel they require that crutch in order to function in their day-to-day lives.

'Tis one thing to be tempted, another thing to fall (William Shakespeare, Measure for Measure)

I have wondered if the law on drugs was abandoned & so immediately decriminalised a section of the population & state run drug shops providing taxes, hash, heroin & hallucinogens would be a wise decision.

I can understand that some would take things too far and their lives would become a mess. They should be shot. Whilst others could effectively operate within society even with a drug habit.

Makes more sense than locking someone up for doing something that they have every Constitutional right to do. At least you are advocating something which is unconstitutional, which is a crime against the American people.
