Why should it always be an American Corporation? Are you going to limit trade and prevent foreign corporations from dealing business within the USA?

Okay, so you're telling us all that further regulations are needed yet you can't even supply us an example of what they are? Also explaining to me that you don't have the expertise is quite funny... you're willing to delegate that responsibility to politicians who have no expertise either and expect a better response. You'll probably remark that they have advisers that assist them in these matters... but they're all paid-for politicians who will vote the particular way their contributors tell them to.

Now we have unqualified people making decisions on something that isn't for laughs and giggles while also applying the prospect of them being bribed. How does that not sound crazy?

You don't need 'my' examples. Just know that there are problems to be resolved. Regulations/controls will come in due time.

Totally agree. Regulations are nothing more than the threat of government force.

There are very few situations in which it is justifiable to use force, or threaten to use force, against someone. Only when someone has trespassed against, or violated, the body or property of someone else, or threatened to do so, would I consider the use of force justified.

Great response from someone who has no clue. Your response is purely a reaction based with only short term goals in mind. You have no long term future approach besides more regulation, subsidies, bailouts, and troop deployments when something else goes wrong... the mark of an Empire at its last gasp.

At this point, it's fairly easy to appreciate those who would underestimate me. (So be it.)

And you believe that; you couldn't know it. (So interesting. Carry on.)

In reality, I think that the solutions WILL be multi-pronged, hardly limited to those you suggest nor exclusively what I know or believe.

So, what are YOU talking about here?

    1. no it doesn't, plain and simple.
    2. you want us to die from smog like they are in China.
3.you want us to be paid like Mexicans which would destroy our economy
minimum wage is just too statistically insignificant to matter.

Hyperbole. Eliminating the minimum wage would not do these things. States have minimum wages. Additionally, you can choose between paid on the job training or pay for it. The minimum wage is eliminating on the job training. It is putting a larger burden on the breadwinner having to support juniors car and dating wants.

I thought I had a right to work in any state? Am I going to be thrown in jail some where if I get a job?
What right to work means is Republican hamstringing union activity. Why should a guy join a union and pay dues when the union already guarantees his wage level?
So called "right to work" laws only allow free loaders to gain the benefits of union bargaining without having to pay union dues.
In addition "right to work" laws inteveene in contracts between unions and companies.
Would you object if a union re-organized itself as a "company" and negotiated a contract with Whirlpool washing machine company to be sole supplier of labor??
    Would that then be illegal?
The minimum wage seemed to work when I was young, probably partly because there was a confiscatory income tax rate at the high income levels.
Without the confiscatory rates at the high end any minimum wage would be eroded by inflation as the big earners (often actually mutual back scratching board members on different corporations voting each other obscene salaries at different companies with inter locking boards of directors.)
No board of directors was going to supply the CEO with 20 million in take home pay because it would have meant paying him $100 million of which the federal income tax
    would take $80 million.
It was the end of the high end confiscatory rates that allowed people like Ophra Winfrey to take home obscene salaries of $100 million.
The basic problem is men are flawed, and there is and evil that that English language refers to as greed.
    If the government
If society is no longer going to address the public sin of greed with confiscatory tax rates then the churches have got to start preaching again and organizing boycotts when
Bill Gates walks off with $75 billion.:salute:

The majority of jobs that the average worker works, not the minority of workers that have skills that demand higher pay, will get paid very little without a minimum wage. Very few companies will willingly pay decent wages to their employees. They have to be forced to, either by the government, or by the threat of not being able to get the best workers if they do not. There is no such threat when it comes to the majority of jobs.

In a larger sense, you do not have a RIGHT to work anywhere. If you can't do the work, they don't have to hire you. In terms of "right to work" states, it means NO CLOSED SHOPS. It means an employer cannot refuse to hire you just because you don't want to be in a union.
There is no Republican hamstringing union activity. Unions can still meet, (*)(*)(*)(*) up a work force and cause jobs to be sent to China. All the Republicans did was take out the racketeering element of union existence.
As usual, whenever a WORKER becomes politically incorrect, you left wingers call him a freeloader. That's as despicable as it gets.
Nope. It ONLY means that the employer is NOT permitted to discriminate in hiring, based on union affiliation. That's called RACKETEERING.
Would you object if the KKK re-organized itself as a company and negotiated a contract with Whirlpool washing machine company to be the sole supplier of WHITE labor?
    Same concept.
That's the great fallacy of history. That dumbass 90 percent income tax rate was a joke because NOBODY PAID IT. People figured out ways to shelter income and it cost the Treasury millions. The Reagan Tax Cuts actually got MORE dollars out of the achievers because at a certain rate it was cheaper just to pay the tax. The Bush Tax Cuts did the same thing. But left wingers have this stick up their ass called CLASS ENVY that blocks their brains from understanding that concept.
You don't know the meaning of the word "inflation." If this were 1978 it wouldn't be so pathetic because MOST OF AMERICA including the elected class didn't have a working definition of inflation, nor did they know the cause. Since then, Milton Friedman's FREE TO CHOOSE was a major best seller and the nation was educated. You need to do some reading, son.

The reason why you liberals lose so many arguments and why your policies are a total (*)(*)(*)(*)ing DISASTER to America is because of idiotic statements like that. Believing ANY salary is obscene. To bring you up to speed in the real world, YOUR salary by comparison would be considered obscene by workers in the Far East. I don't see you feeling guilty and wanting to give up any of YOUR hard earned dollars.
The GREED is ALL on the left. Only a GREEDY person would demand what he/she/it hasn't earned.

Society needs to address CLASS ENVY or it will never progress as an economy. The only public sin of greed is LIBERALISM. It is GREED for what you HAVEN'T EARNED.
Bill Gates' products have expanded more economies, SAVED MORE LIVES, and made more lives better than ALL Democrat Presidents combined. That $75 billion is chump change, considering all the good he did.

I say chump change because the GREEDIEST MOTHER(*)(*)(*)(*)ER OF ALL, (Barak Saddam Hussein Obama) has SPENT (*)(*)(*)(*)ING TRILLIONS and has BUTT (*)(*)(*)(*)ED the economy almost beyond compare.

The MAJORITY of jobs are the ~96% of hourly jobs that ALREADY are paid in excess of the minimum wage. The MINORITY, (about 4%) of jobs are the ones who may be affected if the minimum wage were abolished; some percentage of those will be driven to a lower wage. Please explain how the ending of the federal minimum wage will affect the 96% of hourly workers who are paid in excess of the minimum.

No it gives the employer the ability to hire during a strike nullifying union upper hand.

And I'm not greedy. I'm deeply concerned with making sure America, the richest country on earth, does not dissolve into a third world country. Why do you believe liberalism is nothing more than giving away free money?

Horse excrement, Nothing you listed here would do anything to end the recession, because none of these things created the recession.

The recession has two causes, and those are that we have a Federal Reserve which allows our banks to be a parasite on our people, and the other is government trade policies which allow oligarchs to offshore jobs, monopolize business, and exploit the US market.

Eliminate the Federal Reserve, and resend NAFTA and similar trade agreements and the economy will take off like a race horse on methamphetamine.

    End minimum wage?
Wow what a great idea. especially since when you take a look back at an early industrializing America, the working class worked 10-14 hours a day to make wages that could barely support themselves, let alone their families. let's bring that back to america. lets become a country where foreign businesses outsource their factories and call centers for the cheap labor. then after american people are working for foreign companies at wages that will lead them to nowhere, we'll probably have a really strong economy and I'm sure that will end the recession.

Think your ideas through before you share them, it really helps.

And that's WRONG. A union can cost a business a fortune by walking out. It takes time and money hiring and training new employees to replace the striking ones. Also, losing the work force costs the company money in product that is not assembled or services not rendered. There is NO need for some Nazi state, requiring all workers to pay dues whether they want to or not.

Yes you are. You want what you haven't earned.

    .
No you're not. You believe in unions which is the ONE REASON WHY AMERICA IS NOW DISSOLVING INTO A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY.
Oh, I think liberalism is a lot more than that.

Liberalism is the promotion of SLAVERY.
Liberalism the promotion of ROBBERY, of CLASS ENVY, of LAZINESS, of CRIME, etc.
Liberalism is the promotion of IGNORANCE and STUPIDITY.
LIBERALISM IS A (*)(*)(*)(*)ING MENTAL ILLNESS.
And the only real cure is a nice worn pair of WORK SHOES.

    That's all narrow-sighted and extreme.

The vast majority of people living in a society (and that happens to be those who ACTUALLY work in, build and maintain it)... should have a SIGNIFICANT voice. After all, an "oligarchy" isn't necessarily a perfectly good thing.

Unions are the best things we have to accomplish what they do, in a world we cannot simply switch-off human nature itself.

So yes, it's all about competition to a large degree... but in a civilized society, decent people realize the value of a fair/level playing field (overall). We don't want a nation designed by/for sociopaths; we can see what those given to abhorrent levels of selfishness, greed and avarice can do in this world. (It's EASY to see that in history.)

Screw that!! I'm all for unions to balance out this 'capitalism' that we adhere to like 'religion'. Anyone with a bit of historical knowledge can fathom well enough what happens to a society, when laissez-faire capitalism is allowed to 'rule'.

Actually, LIBERALISM is narrow-sighted and extreme. And WRONG.

And yet Democrats cannot win without voter fraud. Liberals are wanting to overturn the First Amendment. You're the ones pushing for an oligarchy, and really what you are looking for is a NAZI SOCIALIST STATE.

Unions accomplish increased employment in the far east. They are about as relevant today as eight track tapes.

Decent people aren't IDIOTS. Only IDIOTS think there is (a) such a thing as a level playing field and (b) it is possible for government to accomplish (A).
You keep voting for them. You elect rapists, liars, illegal aliens. I'd say the average liberal voter is a sociopath.

I see that every time I watch Democrats talk.
You probably think you can swim in a pool of sharks and teach them to do tricks. That would be easier than the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing pipe dream of ANYTHING balancing out capitalism.

A liberal with ANY historical knowledge. That's the OXYMORON of the ages. Liberals are just plain IGNORANT of history, of economics, of human behavior, of the world.
Hell, LIBERALS ARE JUST (*)(*)(*)(*)ING IGNORANT.

... I'm finished with your hostility and abjectly extremist views (I can go to "Fox" for a dose of that). You sound like you don't realize that everyone doesn't have to think or see things the 'exact' way YOU do. (That's just unrealistic.)

You're the one who is hostile: to logic.
