Violent crime up, arrests down in Baltimore!

We are seeing the results of democrat policies once again. Instead of just investigating the death of Freddie Gray and allowing the legal justice system work the democrat leaders of Baltimore turned the incident into a media circus which led to riots and now a significant uptick in violent crime.

The "social justice" crowd's push to demonize police is clearly destructive. Baltimore has been an example of how liberals are wrong on racism and how their ideas are more destructive than helpful. Is it time to reject liberal progressivism across the board? I like some of their ideas but as far as being a practical way of governing it is clearly a failure.

 

Black America has been a crime problem for decades.

 

But of course if you listen to lefties it is the fault of white America. Baltimore is just one example of how that nonsense is false.

Dont forget guys, Baltimore is a VERY blue city. So any violent crime (assault, murder, etc) is most likely victimizing a liberal or democrat.

I predicted this would happen the second the media began parachuting their operatives into Baltimore last month.

Picture yourself a BPD officer on patrol after this mess. Every time you see what could be a drug deal in progress, or a potential suspect of a robbery, or any guy you know is doing something illegal, you now stop and think... No matter what I do, a crowd of angry people who don't even know how to spell "law" are going to pull out their cell phones and begin recording my every move while antagonizing the situation in hopes of getting the next video for CNN to play as "police brutality" because they are legal experts on my profession.

After seeing your fellow officers officers thrown under the bus like trash by the commissioner and the Mayor. You know that you're expendable political fodder.

So... why do any proactive policing that has worked for as long as the profession has been around after this? I don't blame them one bit for simply answering to the service calls in their post and nothing more.

BPD couldn't recruit decent applicants before this whole mess, who do they expect to attract now?

Maybe you can answer my question when liberals and race baiters constantly scream that police are all about race in profiling, why don't black women get profiled if it's all about race?

 

What bad cops? The cop in Ferguson was cleared of all charges. He was attacked.
The cops in Baltimore will likely see those charges thrown out because they did nothing wrong.

That's the typical narrative, presented to the uneducated low information voter out there. It has no basis in fact whatsoever.

 

There isn't anyone from the right in Baltimore. They're all Democrats.

 

The cops would be better off just leaving Baltimore and finding new jobs elsewhere, let the citizens of Baltimore police themselves and then they can be the only ones to blame from now on.

 

Baltimore and Detroit are two liberal cities, operating under liberal political fields. They are perfect examples of why it doesn't work.

I constantly ask these people who say that if we legalize drugs all this will stop, if they really believe that if drugs were legal all these gang bangers would remove their tattoos fro their faces and necks, pull up their pants, learn to speak proper English, get and education, get a job and become productive members of society? I NEVER get an answer. I also ask them how these people are going to get the money to do these legal drugs and still no answer, we ALL know that home invasions, robberies and muggins will skyrocket.

Making drugs more available by legalizing them will only make everything worse and increase the numbers of drug addicts.

No they will not. Making drugs illegal won't get rid of any of the gangs. Gangs make money off selling things illegally to avoid taxes and fees. If pot is legal, they'll go more toward firearms, prostitution, gambling...etc. It's about making a quick buck, not about the product.

You are watching too much TV. The "bad cops" are turning out to be just doing their jobs. Obama and his lemmings have decided to demonize cops so blacks won't be arrested even when they commit serious crimes. It is how lefties reduce the crime rate: Just stop arresting folks. Problem is crime rates actually go up when you do that.
