There are actually 2 stories at play here, the first one involves these guys making it to the street, which is daunting in and of itself. But then there is what happened after they made it out. If someone was waiting for them then that would be the simple part. But what if there was no outside help? These 2 thugs are now outside a prison with no money, food, transportation and they're wearing prison clothes (all assumed by me) and they probably don't know their way around town. Anything they would need they would have to steal which would result in the police being called, or they maybe they lucked out and found a house where no one was home. If they really got lucky they would have carjacked someone who was not from the area and wouldn't be missed. From start to finish these guys needed to have incredible luck. But if they're just hiding in the woods then they'll probably be captured in a matter of days.
Possible but speculative. My bet is that they are Clintonistas or Barackees! - - - Updated - - - Guys with absolutely NOTHING to lose? Entirely possible.
Such prisons? Meh.. we're talking about a MODERN as opposed to a 150 year old prison my friend. The Colorado supermax is ideal. Close Gitmo!!
In some cases I think colorado's supermax is over kill. The Unabomber doesn't belong there, he's pretty much harmless these days and would be ok in a regular prison. Can a prisoner earn his way out of that facility and get transferred to a regular prison or are they there for life?
Thanks once again for your super-smart concepts Steve. Man! A 100k reward offered at this point. http://abcnews.go.com/US/ny-state-offers-100000-reward-capture-escaped-prisoners/story?id=31590345 LUCK was indeed major, but i'm mostly ruling out the possibility that they may have taken over a vacant house. Thousands of cops at this point going door to door. They had a plan, they executed and betting they had arrival plans in Canada as well.
They should keep all prisoners in break proof, think, plastic cells in nice rows with tons of cameras and a tracking device implanted randomly in each one removed when they get sent out. I think it was both an inside and outside job.
From your link: "Earlier today, Cuomo told ABC News that what troubled him most about the escape was that the two men needed power tools to pull it off, and there was no way they could have done it in total secrecy." This is getting really interesting. Can't wait for these guys to get captured and have The Discovery Channel do a reenactment of the whole thing.
Funny how Gov. Cuomo is more enamored by how they executed the escape than he seems to be anxious in capturing them.
And until then regardless of the fact that invent a new system they invent a way to escape around it.
We need to build a wall around Detroit and make it a prison capable of housing millions. Remember the movie with Snake Plisskin? Escape from NY? That's what they need.
So what, how many joints are there? How much is the life of someone killed by an escaping worth? Yes by murders and the danger that now poses to the innocent citizens. How about this theory, had they been executed there would have been no escape? - - - Updated - - - I would nominate Baltimore.
I assume not, but I don't know how much they weighed. When I see them have to pull them now, they stick something similar to an ice pick with a T-handle in the hole and one man can pull them up and slide them to the side with one hand and some grunting and I doubt they have replaced them all since I was a kid.
Scuttlebutt last week was that Obama will probably use an executive order to close down "Club Gitmo." But if Obama's past actions are any indication, Obama isn't moving anyone to "supermax" in Colorado, the prisoners will be released back into the battlefield for the next POTUS or American soldier to deal with. Makes Obama sense. Obama's Next Executive Order: Closing Guantanamo Bay May 06, 2015 http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiep...ecutive-order-closing-guantanamo-bay-n1995238
Detroit is closer to Canada though. The thugs hate cold weather. It's just one extra little dig against them.
Screw Discovery Channel.. I got the movie rights! - - - Updated - - - WTH are you talkin' 'bout Willis? Crap, another one tossing bricks on the thread railroad track.
59 is not very cold.. this is current in Toronto which is where i'd bet they're at. https://www.google.com/search?clien...da&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=temperature+in+toronto
I spent a year at a client in Detroit and two years at a client outside of BWI. BWI never had snow stick on the ground for over a day. I have seen Detroit with feet worth of snow and you couldn't even get your rental car from the hotel back to the airport. - - - Updated - - - I spent a year at a client in Detroit and two years at a client outside of BWI. Detroit in nearly mid-June? I was there two months ago at around 65 degrees. Denver had 3-4 feet of hail and wicked tornados past few days, but really? http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_28258514/one-denver-block-buried-under-up-four-feet
All, first of all, let me say that I think these guys should have gotten the death penalty; I'm a conservative, what did you expect? Second, if these thugs are killed during the manhunt I won't shed a tear. But think about it, 2 guys in separate cells, which are supposed to be secure, have the ingenuity and ability to actually bust out from right under everyone's nose and so far they're getting away with it. This story is fascinating and I wish one of the news channels was carrying this 24/7 because it would be all I would watch until it's over. What these goons did says volumes about the human spirit. Now if only people who are down on their luck and aren't in jail cells can commit to the same level of "just get out and succeed" we'd be looking better as a country. And no, I'm not siding with the thugs, but what they've accomplished is considerable when their circumstances are taken into account.
Sorry to burst your spit bubble, but this sounds exactly like how they escaped on the Fox TV show Prison Break. I think someone needs to tap Rupert Murdoch's phone lines and internet connections.
