How would you like to be working your fields and have snipers shooting live rounds near you as you work?

I'd point out that almost no rocket attacks have ever been any more lethal than that, and the rockets have Israel going bonkers.

 

Bull. You don't get peace by carrying out ethnic cleansing. You don't get peace by uprooting the orchards of farmers in the lands you occupy with military force.

Who thinks Israel wants peace? Don't try to sell that nonsense. Israel wants ethnic cleansing. You can tell by noticing that they are the ones who are in complete control and they spend their time stealing the property of Palestinians living in their own country. That's what causes WAR, not peace.

And, the blockade is another act of war perpetrated continuously for 8 years now - an act that Netanyahu refuses to negotiate even after having agreed to that as part of the ceasefire agreement.

Do you realize that there is an ongoing international effort right now that is trying to figure out how to keep Gaza from exploding under the pressure of the blockade, the sniping at fishermen, farmers and road builders, the theft of Gaza's energy reserves, and the prevention of travel (not just of soccer players, but government officials, international humanitarian organizations, news organizations, students wanting to leave to go to universities where they have been accepted, etc.).

Right now, there are so many legitimate causes for war against Israel that multiple nations are trying to figure out how to evade that outcome.

Is THAT what you call "peace"???

 

We don't allocate nationhood by ethnicity. We don't do ethnic cleansing to remove people from the property they own.

Even if there was a one-state solution, Palestinian property owners would retain full legal rights to the land they own.

I don't see a way to take your comment other than as a proposal for humanitarian atrocity.

 

The way it will eventually work is that Israel will annex West Bank and Gaza and buy one way ticket to Jordan for all Palestinians, while buying their property from them. Will be expensive for sure, but heck, it'll worth it in the end. And UN will chip in I'm sure, what's with finally getting rid of all the freeloaders.
