Give me a break. People in "poverty" today in America have it better than most of the third world, and better than kings lived centuries ago. What has changed is that we have taken away any drive for people to improve their position because we are just GIVING it to them on a silver platter. Take away all the support. That is the absolute best thing we can do. Force people to rely on their FAMILIES and not the government. Families are broken now because no one relies on families anymore. Those families are also the people that tell children what they need to do to succeed. The government, with their free handouts will not do that. Poor parents can tell their kids they better do well in school. Poor parents can instill discipline in their children. With all the free (*)(*)(*)(*) we keep giving the poor, there is no incentive for adults to keep that family unit, so the children turn into a bunch of little idiots, completely dependent, perpetuating the cycle. The answer is to cut them off. If you do not produce a service or a product, you don't get paid. I think we will all be amazed how quickly things change.
There is nothing wrong with charities that help people out in times of need, but the perpetual free handouts from big brother has enslaved the poor as surely as any plantation owner flying the Confederate battle flag.

And you make a hell of a lot of assumptions about my own background. Well off we were definitely not. But what I did have was a very tight and loving family, where everyone helped eachother out in times of need. I got my ass kicked when I did not show motivation and discipline in school and chores. And that strong family and discipline is what got me to where I am today. Success has absolutely nothing to do with money. It has everything to do with mindset.

 

The Black community does commit a large amount of crime. Its almost all the youth however. Stats cover this. That is hardly saying all Blacks are somehow responsible.

Were YOU ever told you're not allowed to apply for a job? And since AA and quotas are legal discrimination, there is no way to know who specifically was ever put to the top of a pile or tossed away. All you can do is follow diversity where you work and predict who got a job through these policies by observing the skills of suspect associates or who's getting promotions. It's certainly easy to track where I work. Not necessarily a bad thing but very easy to observe. Only an idiot or denialist couldn't see it.

An entrepreneur is an employee. You may have your own business, but you still work for that business.

There are other options I suppose. You could get a union job and be a piece of (*)(*)(*)(*), and you'll be able to keep your job. That's always a solid choice. Or work for the government. There's no accountability there either.

Making people stay with families just for money isn't going to make families close, it's going to make them resentful. When the only thing keeping you with someone is the fact that it'll kill your finances if you don't, you grow to hate them.

I would say trying to destroy all images of the Confederacy would be censoring the past would it not? I have no issue with learning from the past. What you want to do is to re-write it while living in it.. No thank you.

 

Yea, we should just cut that "War on Poverty" right out, especially Food Stamps, Medicare and Social Security. Not to mention the fact that it actually did lower poverty rates by over 10%. Black people did better in good economic times, just like everyone else.

Pushing guilt for actions not done by that person due to their skin color helps no one and is hardly an "open discussion".
