these questions are BRUTAL. Megan's first question directed at Trump was so unprofessional and nasty! Chris Wallace is now going after Trump non-stop on immigration. This is not candidates against each other, it's the FOX news cast vs all candidates! It's nasty

well I'm watching a rerun of "This Old House"... but isn't the whole point of a debate, to press candidates on pressing issues? were they supposed to throw soft ball questions and all form the line of congratulating each other for a job well done on all thinking the same way? what you're describing sounds like how ALL media should be when confronting these politicians, so I guess someone should point out to democrats they didn't throw lobs? maybe democrats can copy that and stop treating hillary with the kid gloves... and really throw her some fastballs...

first of all, i'm a democrat but i still feel this is not being handled fairly

They need to be fair and give them a chance to voice what the believe in. We need to know what they stand for but questions like Mega's first question were just cheap shots and tongue tying. I also think they are going after Trump more and favoring others.

At least it is entertaining. The democrat debate will be entitled " Which old rich white person should I vote for".

it is but it feels more like msnbc news anchors vs republicans. I guess kudos to them for being harsh? Still feel they need to encourage candidates to have more informational discussions as opposed to attacks that tongue tie them. I'm sill not sure what they stand for

First impressions is that no-one is outshining one another and it's sad cause i think Trump is not doing great, they still can't outshine him. Jeb looks lifeless (trying hard to generate a spark), Rand is doing poorly. Others so so, nothing special

That is because talking about real issues and solutions is boring. To get folks to pay attention these days there needs to be a little razzle dazzle. Trump adds that so people are tuning in. What will cause people to tune in to the democrat debates? So far nothing. They are a group of old boring fuddy duddies.

well like I said I'm not watching it... but I can only imagine how almost impossible it is for a 10 person debate to have anyone shine really... there isn't really a debate going on with 10 people is there? its just talking points which we can view on youtube if we wanted... so I can't imagine there is a constant person vs person debate going on challenging each other why their plan is better... its just 10 guys stating a plan, and from the sounds of it, a zinger here and there...

they should have broken it down to multiple debates, each one having 4 guys and letting them go at it? and then pick the top I dunno 8 going forward, and break it down to groups of 4 again and let them hash it out... then take the top 4... and in a couple months we'd finally have the real and final debates...

basically like any college bracket game! lol

just hope you aren't placed 16th and draw the #1 guy...

Old boring fuddy duddies? Wait until Hillary speaks. She's the oldest dud there is.

The questions have been very good. Nothing softball about them. Real issues? Are you actually watching because it's all about what's important. What's important sometimes besides the obvious, is hearing how they deal with criticism of what they say.

From an average voter perspective it is boring to discuss issues. They want to be entertained....sad but true. Trump has energized the republicans. The dems have no one....they are boring.

I bet after years and years of watching Democrats get the kid gloves, slow-pitch/T-ball treatment from the media (and progressives wouldn't have it any other way), it's quite an eye opener for them to find out they were wrong about FOX being a shill for the Republican Party. At the end of the day, FOX is much more of a reputable news organization than MSNBC and other left-wing extensions of the Democrat Party.

    And research shows it.

Strange since I have heard more than one Con refer to CNN as a left-wing news source, strange you did not mention their numbers. Personally I find it sad that any news source is more the 10% opinion.

so you want to vote for someone you know little about but entertains, got it.

as far FOX, it's the most viewed, not the most informative. TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Fox is actually responsible for the growing number of ignorants in this Country, they have lied to the Country about so many things and filled uneducated people's head with a lot of horsesh$t... They do sell more, but that's the problem. US puts entertainment over education and it's one of the reasons it will fall to China, India... it's just a matter of time. US is like the Roman Empire before it collapsed...

So you didn't have an argument and begin spouting non sequiturs. Got it.

Amazing how they manage to put out 3 times more factual news reporting than MSNBC. But then again, your argument doesn't require facts, just rhetoric.

I agree with that, but I put the blame squarely on progressive shoulders. Who supports 3rd world immigration from the poorest, least literate, least educated, and least skilled parts of the world, again? Who supports rampant debt expansion in the economy? Two major reasons why Rome fell.

Rand is a dead duck anyway. You can't threaten to cut Israel off the US teat and get elected president..

Just so the moderators don't get any ideas that I advocate the dead ducking of Rand--I should have said he is going to lose for sure because you can't cut Israel off the US teat and get elected president. I like Rand Paul in his stand about cutting out foreign aid to all these countries. Why would a country borrow money just to give it away?

I thought it was an excellent debate and each had great moments. The two hours went by very fast and did Carson ever the close. Cruz, Huckabee, Christie, Rubio all Kasich and did well. I didn't watch the early debate, but I understand that Carly also had an outstanding night. But yes, they were handling very tough sharp questions. Not many softballs were thrown at them, but hey, we are Republicans, always outmanned, never outgunned.

That is what got Obama elected. It wasn't about his record, he had none, or his accomplishments.... he had none. It was about how well he spoke and could BS people.

Gee, ya think Fox News and Ailes MIGHT HAVE THEIR OWN AGENDA? I noticed they really went after Trump. Looks like they have their own ideas about who should be "legitimate" candidates in the eyes of the republican power structure's perspective.

Of course I could be wrong and their emphasis on throwing more fastballs at some candidates and lobs at others was just the luck of the draw.

Much truth in your comments. Most live in a reality TV show world so why not have a reality TV star as President !
