Because Canada unlike you and other members of simpleton moral equivalence mob understands the difference between rogue terrorist-supporting state of Iran committed to the destruction of Israel and a tiny, liberal democratic state of Israel committed to its survival, not extermination of Arabs or Persians or anyone else. Lest we forget that Iran unlike Israel did sign the NPT and is therefore bound by it.

Hmm, if America did not adapt its policies to new realities of the world Europe would have been speaking German ever since WWI, or perhaps Russian...or most likely the entire continent would have been a nuclear waste land by now. So would Asia and the Middle East. And surprise surprise - when they are all in deep sh*t, they are very very happy to have "the United States abandon the political ideology upon which America was founded in our foreign policy" as you put it and rescue their stupid arses. They see it a good, life/freedom saving thing, not as hypocrisy.

You people in your self-righteous fervor can never see the forest for the trees, not even from the height of your enormous high-horse.

conversation about the iran deal is now pretty much living in the past. The UN has lifted the sanctions, Russia and China have already made sales to Iran and China is desperate for Irans oil. The idea that Russia China and India will reinstate the snactions at some point is naive and unrealistic. The french have a trade mission headed for Iran. The world is quickly moving on kids. Canada? well that is just a toothless powerless place isnt it? Dropping maple syrup on Tehran isnt really a big deal is it.

Ahmadenejad (Ahmenijah spell error) stayed in power until August 2013 my post was dated 2012 when he was still in power. Canada opposed his regime and Canada still opposed the present regime.

We would not waste Maple Syrup? What we can do is send Celine Dion to do a concert.

    Toothless power indeed.

The United States did not enter WW II to help out the French and the British or to stop the Holocaust. The US went to war against Germany (and Italy) because Germany declared war against the US and began attacking US shipping. It can also be noted that the US didn't defeat Germany in WW II because the major battles occured on the Eastern Front against Russia. The invasions of Italy and Normandy were diversionary attacks to draw off German forces from the Eastern Front.

The US foreign policy of "The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend" has resulted in as much tranny as any other source of tyranny in modern history. The US has supported many of the most tyrannical regimes of the second half of the 20th Century and continues to embrace that foreign policy today.

It is illogical to believe you can overcome tyranny while supporting it at the same time.

Calling Israel a democracy is an insult to the word. Somewhere between 400,000 and 700,000 residents of the Israeli territory in 1948 were forced from the land, denied re-entry, denied their citizenship, and denied the "right to vote" in the Israeli elections. Today Israel is subjecting roughly 4.5 million Muslims in the occupied territories to military rule and they are prohibited from voting in the Israeli elections.

In a democracy those subjected to the rule of government are allowed to vote and Israel doesn't allow Muslims subjected to the military rule of Israel in the West Bank and East Jerusalem to vote in the Israeli elections (while Jewish citizens allowed, and even encouraged, to illegally immigrate to these territories are allowed to vote).

We can also note that the very ideology of Zionism, upon which Israel was founded, was the explusion of Muslims from all of Palestine by Eurpoean Jews to re-establish a "racist" Jewish government in Palestine. That is why Israel will never agree to a peace plan with the Palestinians because it would have to give up the ultimate goal of control of all Palestine by the Zionist Jews.

Wow! I always thought the Canadians don't make harsh decisions when the game is not over yet.
I tried to analyse the Iran nuke deal but couldn't find any prove they were trying to terrorize us all

Easy to say that when Iran doesn't let anyone inspect what needs to be inspected.

Lol. You actually would ask people to believe you did an analysis on the Iran nuke deal?

Uh hello if you had you would realize the deal completely ignored and never dealt with Iran's worldwide terrorist role.

So how could you have missed that in your analysis if it was never there? Lol.

    Wow is right.

Right you have no clue what Iran's connection to terrorism is. You can't find any information.

    Uh huh. Yep.

Instead of posing that you have no idea of Iran's role in financing and supporting terrorism world-wide ask yourself how in your analysis you did not notice even Obama in the middle of his negotiations acknowledged their terrorist role leading people to ask if he knows they are terrorists why give them $150 billion just to sign the deal with zero requirement they follow it to get the money.

    Analysis? Uh yah.

    http://nypost.com/2015/05/13/obama-says-iran-sponsors-terrorism/

Obama has zero credibility. He has admitted giving $150 billion unconditionally to a nation he knows is supporting terrorism worldwide.

    Analyze that.

So many links but absolutely zero to do with the agreement. BTW, no one gave $150b to Iran.

That's your answer? Right. By the way Iran was given $150 billion. By the way I made it clear the nuke agreement does not link Iran's role as a world terrorist financier and supporter to the agreement which is precisely why it's a farse.

You want to ignore that and you want to pretend you see no evidence of Iran being a terrorist financier about to get $150 billion simply for signing the agreement and that this money will be used to fuel pro Iranian terrorism, play that tune.

    Its done.:plug:

Since the new regime which took power in 2013, Iran has not being a state sponsor of terrorism by any realistic ruler.

The USA has also been one of the top state sponsors of terror so it is absurd for us to call Iran out for the same thing that we do.

The nuclear issue is in a class by itself and should not be connected to lesser issues in any case.

The thieves who stole the Iranian assets upon being forced to return it regard that as giving Iran $150 billion. They also act like it's a big treat to let Iran sell their oil on the free market. These are the same people who rant and rave about Iran's alleged refusal to allow anal inspections of all of their nuclear facilities while fully supporting Israel's absolute refusal to any inspections on theirs. The only ones of any consequence worldwide who are against the deal which was fashioned between Iran and representatives from the US and the other six leading world powers are Bibi Netanyahu and his confederacy of dunces posing as US Congressmen.

Sorry to report, but my abominations check, of local corruption seems ripe, so we'll probably get a lot of floods, during Super El Nino that are actually terror-related, while wildfires might as well be called BUSHFIRES, like they are, in Australia, which seems to know wtf, for us to catch the heck up.:flame:

Prager University has something to say about all that...

This is powerful---Layman's explanation of the Iranian deal

One thing that didn't exist back in 1938 was the internet -- and this message should be forwarded all over the world.
So please do that -- *forward this to everyone in your mail box.*
Dennis Prager makes a lot of sense.
Congress needs to stop the deal with Iran.
Very insightful, articulate and easily understood. Dennis Prager delivers a gem on the Iranian deal.

One thing for sure is that the whole truth has not yet been divulged to the American people... the substantiation and illustration is <VIVID HERE>...

    Click on this link http://www.israelhayom.co.il/article/305133

<Israel Hayom> is an Israeli paper ... do not get upset by the Hebrew writings, scroll down until the clip appears... it is in English... enjoy the clip and decide if Kerry and Co are not deceiving the American people.

Canada is so far from the Middle East (I wouldn`t compare Canada with the US as the US is totally involved in political issues of the region) that it can argue about Iran only on behalf on their guess-work. Iran is a threat only for Israel but not for the West because it is a regional power and is unlikely to pretend on world leadership.

Canada should explain about her agents working for ISIS before calling others by names.

If you are worried about monsters, you should worry about the barbarians which the US has implicitly and explicitly supported in the guise of containing Iran. Including the latest monsters de jour, namely ISIS. Otherwise, Iran - a country with several millennia of history acting as a civilizing force against all sorts of barbarians that have come and gone -- is the last place you should be worried about in the context of what you said!

The real Iran is a sophisticated, cultured, developed, country under so-called "crippling sanctions" because, if left alone, it would become too prosperous and too powerful for any propaganda image to the contrary to have a chance to succeed. Even with sanctions, Iran has been able to march ahead and is self-sufficient in almost everything and reliant on no one. Politically, while Iran's system is not without its flaws, it is more tolerant and democratic than any of the alternatives around. Socially, Iran is a vibrant society that is nothing like you imagine it to be. Indeed, its tolerance and the hospitality that marks its culture something that makes those who visit it call Iran the "most hospitable country on earth" and rate Iran as the most interesting country they have ever been to. The allure of its culture so great that ordinary tourists have taken it up for themselves to do extraordinary things to bring you the message that Iran is Great.

Traditional versus Modern in Iran: whichever you like, both pictures are compelling enough!

With respect to the modern/western juxtaposed against modern/Irano-Islamic culture represented in Iran today, I can post pictures to show (1) modern, American style, shopping malls (besides dozens of American-style shopping malls already in Iran, including some of the world's largest ones with 2 of the top 10 biggest malls in Iran, we have 200 new malls under construction in Iran, 65 in Tehran alone), versus Iran's famous ancient bazaars; (2) modern, western style hotels versus traditional style, hotels many of which are simply fabulous; (3) modern, western style restaurants versus modern, traditional style, restaurants; (4) modern, western style fashion versus modern fashion inspired by traditional designs. The point being that modernity doesn't need to necessarily be inspired by western designs and Iran is in some ways leading the way in developing a picture of modernity that includes both what is in the west and what is uniquely available only in Iran.

Some of the many American-style Shopping Malls in Iran

Koroush Complex Mall is right now the largest shopping mall in Tehran, although the Tehran Mega Mall which is partly inaugurated, when finished, is supposed to become the largest shopping mall in the world

Isfahan City Center, the 8th largest mall in the world based on leasable space
    [IMG]
The Persian Gulf Shopping Complex in Shiraz, the 6th largest mall in the world in terms of leasable space and the largest in terms of the number of stores

Sarina 1 Mall in Kish Island, a resort islands with literally dozens of large shopping malls
