Yes, it's truly inspiring to witness The Donald stand up against the status quo to the cheers of thousands on live television. I can appreciate it. We're all tired of the status quo. Hell, I even agree with some of the ideas he's laid out during his campaign. To low-information voters, he must seem like the sort of guy who'd bring our country back to the top via his unique brand of braggadocious kickassery, if only we'd give him the chance.

But do we really want this man in office?

Regarding immigration, The Donald shamelessly panders to the racist segment of our population, even going as far as to criticize Jeb Bush for speaking Spanish, thus giving liberals more fodder to label as "racist" those of us who want stronger borders for legitimate reasons. He panders to the Evangelicals and the idiots of America, flip-flopping on abortion and gun control in Romney-esque fashion like a carnival elephant doing tricks for peanuts. And these people eat it up. Perhaps he reminds them of the nicely-dressed rich preachers on Sunday morning TV with their sparkly teeth and private jets, so all is forgiven. Maybe he'll criticize evolution next while helping Billy Graham and Pat Robertson hand out Gideon Bibles. Maybe he'll have his "thousands of Mexican employees" put a Gideon Bible in each room of each Trump Hotel.

    Amen, brother The Donald. Hallelujah.

He has an extraordinarily thin skin and doesn't seem to play well with others. Can all of you The Donald supporters honestly imagine this man working with Congress? The President of the United States is our chief representative to the world. Whoever occupies this office ought to be able to control their emotions in public. Would you honestly want a president who b*tches and whines whenever Congress opposes him? After eight years of Barack the Amateur, can we afford a Child-in-Chief?

The man obviously doesn't take himself seriously. He brags about how he's "the most military guy" running, but when pressed by Hugh Hewitt recently regarding foreign policy, The Donald was like a flustered deer in headlights. (And then, in typical The Donald fashion, he went on TV the following morning to whine and cry about it.) He's rich; can't he do what other candidates do and hire advisors to coach him on how to answer these questions? He obviously knows sh*t about foreign policy. Instead of lying about having military advisors (and flustering when asked who they are), why not spend a few pennies and hire some of these guys to work on your campaign, The Donald?

It's simple, Mr. The Donald. Since you can afford it, hire one advisor in each of the areas you know nothing about:

    • Civil Rights
    • Crime
    • Education
    • Military
    • Foreign Policy
    • Energy

Maybe these advisors can come up with your talking points. They'll even write them down on 3x5 index cards for you to go through before bedtime, The Donald.

As a voter, I feel disrespected by this man. If he can't manage a competent campaign, how can he possibly manage the executive branch of the federal government?

The Donald is a side-show in the history of American politics. He will not be president. If he's lucky, fifty years from now people will look past these bullsh*t years of his life and ponder Donald Trump the successful real estate mogul, not The Donald the reality show presidential candidate.

I was sick of the Donald before this began. The problem is that I'm immeasurably MORE sick of anyone else who has a shot at 2016.
IMO, unless Rand Paul is elected, the American People can only lose, yet again. The Donald is the least Terrible, Horrible and disgusting loser we have to choose from.

Cracks me up when you partisans see someone succeeding who doesnt agree with you.

You do realize a lot of what you think is an opinion and there is no real moral high road right?

I would vote for el señor Trump if he wasn't such a blowhard and a d*uche, and if he knew about government and foreign policy.

He's no different than Obama in this regard. Obama promised "change" and failed because his idealism lacked pragmatism.

El Donaldo Trumpo is also an idealist who lacks not only pragmatism, but also common sense. He is embarrasingly inept at this whole politics game.

You can always gague a candidate's potential support by the number of donations he or she recieves; a person who donates money is invested and is that much more likely to turn out on election day. How many people have donated to him? I'm no Bernie Sanders fan, but he's raised millions through the contributions of regular joes. That's going to translate to votes. Has Donny Drumpf managed millions of donations?

Trump is a paper tiger. He might compare himself to Ronald Reagan, but the only guy he reminds me of is Donald Duck.

Errr... Name one thing Obama did prior to running for president.

Held a political office, "community organizer", etc

Now let's name the things Donald Trump has done.

Billionaire, Profits ridiculously off of other countries leaders alread, etc. (See the Ghadafi deal? Doubt it, he knows how to bargain with leaders and win)

Business experience is largely irrelevant to the Presidency. In fact, I would say that our greatest presidents had no business experience whatsoever.

I got to the point in the OP where "racist" was mentioned and stopped. Once fantasy is introduced it loses all credibility. FYI: Illegal alien is not a race. Neither is Mexican.

Once you see that garbage the rest is predictable. It shows they are not interested in actually discussing the topic of illegal immigration when they need to build strawmen.

You're not going to believe this, but if you had continued reading that same sentence, you would've seen that I support strengthening the borders.

As a matter fact, I believe no mercy should be shown to illegals whatsoever. I would gladly force every illegal out at gunpoint with the military if I could.

Maybe you shouldn't be so scared to read things.

The point I was trying to make is that Donny Boy makes all of us look racist by pandering to the few who hate illegals for racist reasons. I also stated that the liberals use this as an excuse to attack the rest of us conservatives who want the borders secure as racist.

His downfall will come when during the CNN debate he is asked how exactly he plans to round up 11 million people and send them back to their country of origin.
And he tries to validate a police/military force searching for these people and rounding them up.
Which will be quickly linked to some sort of action by some group during WWII.

    I find Trump's demeanor irritating.

But Trump is no were near as bad as Hillary, and Obama makes Hillary look like Jaclyn Smith.

And Trump has the guts to stand up to political correctness, which is a very refreshing change indeed.

I think we need allot more TEA Patriots who speak in the same way as "The Donald".

Exactly which race are you talking about? Which race is being victimized here?

Do not underestimate him. I have been expecting his undoing at anytime....hasn't happened. There is more behind Trump than just the immigration deal.

Trump is spicing up the political debate..... he's making a circus of it at times...... and at times he bores the sh(*)t out of me.

But...... whatever you say about him..... he is changing the conversations in this political season.... he's shaking it up!

    I say hurray !!! It's about time!!!

I think I've proven my point by starting this thread.

Donny Trumpet is a fake conservative and his supporters are imbicils. He makes us real conservatives look bad.

You act like this is the first person to run for President and promise some crazy things.

His stuff is tame compared to the nonsense Obama was promising.

Eisenhower wasn't an expert in all the areas in the original post, Donald is a businessman, he can delegate authority to cabinet members and defer to experts in the major military branches and such to help him. And maybe Congress needs a BOSS the two parties won't work together well he can be a serious threat no one can buy him and worse he will shame them into acting on major issues.

And he makes good points that resonate with people if Hillary is the Democratic nominee and not Sanders my father will vote for Trump, he and I want this to be a real race I would love to see Sanders verses Trump a clash of ideology and neither will be owned by big interests. Sanders doesn't care and Trump doesn't need them.

I also happen to like Trump to he is likely to me the one most likely electable among the lot of them.
