He is probably too gun shy about sending in actual troops.

This is why we've been killing terrorist leaders at a much greater rate during the Obama administration. Whether or not you think it's worth the collateral damage and civilian casualties is up to you, but we've certainly been more successful hunting down individual leaders than during the GWB administration. With a whole lot less American casualties too.

    Unleash?

When did Bush restrict our Intel agencies????

    What intelligence budgets were slashed???

    NONE!!!!!!!

You do realize that the sole person in the CIA (as depicted in "Zero Dark Thirty") responsible for finding Osama's whereabouts was on the task soon after 9/11. It took the CIA that long to find him.

    Hello! Anyone home?

Well, no. The CIA had been spying Osama for the two years leading up to his death, and the project had its beginning during the Bush Admin. The people who killed Osama are the operatives and informants who worked to identify his location, along with the SEALs who literally offered their lives to go on the mission into Pakistan to kill him. (The SEALs were told there was "a 90% chance" they wouldn't return from the mission; the fear was that they might get shot down by the Pakistant military, or that, if they managed to reach the compound, they'd face suicide bombers and/or explosives, and even if they managed to succeed, there was a real chance the Pakistani authorities would arrest them.)

It was actually Leon Panetta who convinced the typically undecisive Obama to "make the 3am call." According to Panetta's book, Obama was so fearful of the political ramifications he had a scapegoat ready to take the fall if the mission was a failure and was made public.

And are you blaming Bush for 9/11?

If so, can I blame Obama for Benghazi?

Thank you! Excellent point! ISIS (or ISIL, or whatever the hell they're calling it this week) didn't even exist when "W" Bush was president. No, and they didn't even dare show their disorganized faces until after Idiot Obama dithered around and let us get thrown out of Iraq at the end of 2011.
So, although hyperlibs are falling over themselves to put a laurel wreath on their wonderous President Warlord's majestic brow, the map below shows the reality of the bloc of control of a bunch of murderous Islamo-Nazis that didn't control more than few dusty huts out in the rear-most recesses of nowhere -- until after President Warlord began showing the world his military "doctrine"....

Guess those Iraqis need another decade of training so they don't drop their weapons and run? Maybe in another 30 years they will give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about their own country and not need us to hold their hand.

    I did.

It's just your typical GWB hit piece.

Heck, the article is just a bunch of anonymous sources and hearsay like "an intelligence official and a member of the Bush administration both told me" this and that.

No names. No ranks. No credible evidence. No documentation. No audio. And you want me to take the authors word on it? Yeah, right!

Who are these people that the author is speaking of?

    What are their names????

Why are you so easily fooled by a left-wing hit piece about GWB???

Get back to me when you have hard evidence and names for God Sake!

If only Idiot "W" Bush and Idiot Obama had continued the same policies toward Iraq/Iran as that begun after Desert Storm under "Daddy" Bush, and continued under Bill Clinton: >> INTERDICT AND CONTROL USING AIRPOWER <<. We never should have gone barging into Iraq in the first place, and those who have known me for a long time remember that I was screaming it from the rooftops back in December of 2002! But at least "W" Bush had stopped the bleeding and achieved a degree of stability by the time President Jive-ass took over. Now that's all been pissed away....

This is now. But, because ISIS doesn't as yet have any way to stop us, we could still use air power to remove it from existence. But what does Obama do? Timidly, he "nibbles around the edges" -- and we're all supposed to be overwhelmed with praise for this amazing "tactic"?! Muslim females can continue to push a lot more "fighters" out of their wombs than we can ever get rid of merely by sending these little robot airplanes out to "cherry-pickoff" these Islamo-Nazis....

Hint: you don't get rid of a big nest of rattlesnakes by shooting one here, and one there, only every once in a while. No. You find the nest, pour kerosene in it, throw in a match, and stand outside with a shotgun to kill any that aren't burned up in hole. What didn't work in the dense jungles of Vietnam -- carpet bombing -- could work very, very well in the wide open expanses of Syria/Iraq/Iran. After a couple of weeks of bombing with phosphor-napalm cocktails, ISIS would be happy to return to their invisible status, out in the dusty, mostly deserted clutter of huts they hid in before Obama strutted onto the scene....

    Allah and Obama are talking....

Allah: "why are you ordering drone strikes on your Muslim brothers??"

Obama: "I am the leader of the infidels, I have to appear as though I am on their side. While some of my Muslim brothers have died, I have allowed our beloved radical Islam to take over the Middle East and kill all the evil Christians there. Those Muslims I have killed are martyrs."

Allah: "I didn't see it that way, carry on"

    Obama: "peace be upon him"

There would have been no need to even have troops in Iraq if your boy Dubya didn't insist on making that his TOP priority during his time in office.

And LMFAO at your vacation comment.
