Unlike the US Russia moves fast, and doesn't play around. Pinpoint strikes were inflicted on ISIS command areas at eight sites...according to the Tass News Agency.

"Today Russian aircraft aerospace forces inflicted pinpoint strikes on eight sites of the terrorist group ISIS in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic. It carried out about 20 sorties," - said the spokesman of the Defense Ministry-General Major Igor Konashenkov.

"As a result of the air strikes, ammunition depots were struck , along with weapons, fuel and lubricants, and military equipment storage. Strategic control points of ISIS militias in the mountainous area were completely destroyed," - he said.

All strikes were done after aerial reconnaissance and data obtained from the headquarters of the Syrian army. Russian aircraft and weapons have not been used in the vicinity of civilian infrastructure.

It looks like the Russians are targeting U.S. supplied rebels who support democracy. The Russians are not attacking ISIS.

    And Obama looks pitiful ...

I have news for you, the US supplied rebels are Al Nusra/Al Queda...and I don't think they want democracy. Anyway the Russians are targeting the ones the legitimate president of Syria wants them to target: ISIS. Thousands of them are Russian citizens, and Dagestan is not very far away. There is no way Vladimir Putin is going to allow them to go back to Russia...no matter how much the Americans want them too.

But Washington better watch out, the last time they were supporting terrorists to kill Russians, it was during the war in Chechnya....and the end result was the World Trade Center.

Right.... Everyone in Ukraine opposing Putin is Neo-Nazi and looks like everyone in Syria who opposes Assad will be labeled ISIS by Kremlin Goebbels' Not fooling anyone of course but they'll be trying hard.

Sorry. Our airforce cannot distinguish bad ISIS terrorists and your good democratic terrorists. From the height of several miles they all look like black dots... It's all because of our outdated electronics...

this one time, I agree with Russia:

Assad is the lesser evil than ISIS, and we should help Assad defeat ISIS.

Before 2009 the U.S. military use to move fast and rained death upon our enemies. But that was before we found an incompetent CnC sitting around the White House when not playing golf.

My son is flying over Iraq and Syria today, and every time he has an ISIS target in view it has to be approved by Valerie Jarrett in the White House before he can release those 500 lb. bombs on ISIS and well over 90% of the time the word comes back, if you drop that bomb on ISIS your military career is over and you will be purged from Obama's PC military.

Assad is not a threat to the US. This is Obama's new war doctrine, if it threatens your delicate sensitivities, bomb it.

They turned out to be Rebel bases not ISIS, after all the Russians are there to make sure their boy Assad remains Dictator, once they kill off the Rebels and drive out the ISIS fighters they will go back to their bases oh and I somehow think they will not be leaving.

Part of the foreign policy from Brookings Institute, is to keep Syria in chaos so that it can be broken into parts that can be more readily controlled. This garbage from Kerry about wanting Syria to remain intact, is just that garbage. Lies, lies, lies, that's all we get from our government.

From what I have read, Syrian Rebels include Sunni as does ISIS. Assad is an Alawite which seems to be a branch of Shiite. Putin seems to be fulfilling Assad's effort to exterminate Sunnis.

Oh, so then it was the American terrorists they bombed not ISIS?

You mean Assad's not running for president anymore, he going to be a dictator? Interesting!

Oh, you mean like the Americans? Well why not, they've been paying rent since 1976.

Russian warplanes did not take out the ISIS Command.

They attacked a target where Legitimate Syrian Rebels and Civilians were located.

There has already been several retaliatory attacks launched at Russian bases in Syria and we warned Russia if they did not limit their attacks to ISIS targets that this would happen.

Russia is creating it's own military quagmire doing this.

And as I said on another post....the United States has massive oceans separating it from Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Russia has nothing separating it from these areas.

Moderate Sunni's in OPEC are going to ramp up Oil Production and cause enormous damage to a Russian Economy already in a state of Depression.

We warned Russia of the possible consequences if they attacked Legitimate Sunni Syrian Rebels.

Now we can all watch this become a Military quagmire for Russia....a nation that cannot afford it.

Not sure what all Alawites think but Assad certainly seems to want to exterminate Sunnis. Putin is just going to destroy all the Sunnis he can. Assad will enjoy a brief victory but Syria will belong to Putin. I don't think Putin gives a flip about jihadists unless, of course, they are good Russian ally jihadists....useful idiots.

The U.S. feeble attempt at supporting so-called Sunni 'rebels' just got obliterated by Putin who is now a presence in the area.
