    There is no 87 in my avatar, I was born in 1980 and turned 35 in September...

    So I was watching MTV in 1987 when they would play this video... Like I said in a previous post - I grew up around professional musicians and grew up in a recording studio so I was always around music and that is a classic track.

    I actually dig rap, but I also listen to everything, so I'm obviously not a "hip hop" wanna b black guy or anything...

    No, I've never been to Ireland. I would really like to see New Grange though. Supposed to be the oldest burial mound in the world. Older even than the pyramids. Besides Canada and Mexico never be out of the states.

    I watched a documentary about Campbell's final tour. He was well into the early stages of Alzheimer's, and the last half of the tour was tough to watch (and I wasn't even there). Poor guy was in no fit state to be onstage (highly confused state etc.) Very sad to watch. Alzheimer's is a horrendous disease and is rampant in my family. It is a terrible thing to lose your sense of self, and perhaps worse to experience it leaving a loved one.

    Here is one of Campbell's last recordings. The lyrics are self explanatory:

    Poignant song.
    I saw a bit of his last concert. It ticked me off. His kids shouldn't have put him through that. I thought it was rather abusive.
    I watched his concert in Sioux Falls, SD, and although he was in good form ---- great concert-- he was slurring his words a bit. He was 65 when he did that concert.

    My mother has Alzheimer's. She was about 65 when she pretty much knew something was going on. It tends to run in families, so it is kind of scary.
