If you have to kill or torture your own people, it is not for the greater good. You referred to any leader, and then also spoke of Pinochet. I am referring to Assad, who tortures and kills, just like some other leaders. It's all the same. Evil people being leader and assuming they are doing good for a majority does not excuse abuse of the minority. One day, that minority could be you - I doubt you would feel the same then.

So you have no idea what started all the protests that led to the uprising? This is not difficult to research even if you don't know.

I'm unclear - are these media outlets too western for you? Can you clarify what counts as western? And I'm unclear how you conclude that the western media is biased, but other outlets that are not as free to talk openly are not biased?

Then the whole world must be doing that because I see no action on the US for crimes against humanity. As I said, I'd gladly support any action against the US if they murder or torture children or their own citizens like other leaders have done around the world in the past. Any man can be corrupt, including the POTUS, and I would expect them all to be accountable for their actions. So show me what the world is doing against such crimes of the US. Do they not care? Do they not want to get rid of them? Where is the rebellion in the US that are sick of such actions that they are willing to fight and die for such change?

The US provided a sophisticated weapon that was solely for the US army defense, but was given to the Syrian rebels. This weapon is capable to destroy tanks. The whole tanks of Assad were destroyed and the rebels were in great chance to win.

For this reason, Russia sent tanks to Syria, to replace the destroyed ones by the rebels.

That the US is so interested to take Assad out of power is obvious, to the point of providing weapons which were destined solely for the US defense.

Syria will become a kind of Vietnam, where the big powers will test the range and destruction power of their weapons. In Vietnam the Russian weapons showed to be greater and with better power of destruction.

Lets see what happens in Syria. As far as I know, the UK also enjoys of weapons that are way more destructive and accurate than ours, and if these weapons are used in Syria, then our knowledge about them will be updated...

I'm guessing you've never witnessed serious weaponry impacting a target? Makes the Bumblebee look harmless.

American Society died. The President is photographed in magazines for homosexuals. And the Americans are pleased this. Almost all Americans - zombified Western media. (there are rare exceptions). American society does not have to explain , American society should be treated. But I do not know how to do it....Maybe the war heal American society. Or the Great Depression 2.

Allowing people to continue killing innocent people is more of an offense to morality. Im all ears now to hear your plan to stop isis that doesnt involve large scale weapons.

Now its "large scale" weapons? How euphemistic of you.

Its a giant clustermuck. I don't know what the best strategy is, but I do know that using WMD ain't it.

Since you let LBJ's Navy run in on North Viet Nam, August 2 and 4, 1964, to do dirt, for YOUR war, you really don't want to get into why YOU don't get WMDs, when YOU let GW Bush stop the FBI, from busting bin Laden, with GW and Bill Clinton and Robert S. Mueller, III. YOU did it.

So you really prefer, to get into MAD, with your WMDs. You don't have a true tactical preference, here, dude. You just don't.

Did you get shot, in the head?

Killing Innocents is a Moral Offense - so we can agree on that Alpha ?

The following paragraph from the first link is enough to make me sceptical about the authenticity of the article, the text of which seems to consist mainly of highly emotive journalistic purple prose, and hyperbolic and unsubstantiated family evidence.

oops forgot to quote the paragraph. "Dr. Akram al-Shaar, who claimed to have supervised the autopsy of Hamza in Tishreen, said he found no signs of torture, claiming the marks on Hamza's body had been caused by natural decomposition."

Nothing to do with the topic or question. Assad is being hounded to get out due to murder and torture of his own people, and some of his own people are protesting and uprising. If the US government does that, the rest of the world is welcome to persue the same action, but that's not happening. Gay magazines and progression wouldn't be my choice, but not akin to murder. It's telling that you go on this tangent.

As I thought. Of course journalism is "highly emotive". It's competing to sell. Journalists who only list facts without presenting in a way that opens to the audience wouldn't last long in the business. But I've made it clear. I could have picked any "western" outlet that might have had less "highly emotive journalistic purple prose", but you would have nit-picked on another issue. I've presented, and you've failed to offer a rebuttal of any kind, instead relying on your gut and suspicion of outlets that don't tow the line you want. You are welcome to do so, but it isn't based on any fact.

    - - - Updated - - -

Again, true to form... emoticons don't offer a rebuttal.

Yes. Of course...However sometimes you have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Look at Hiroshoma....lots of innocents killed there but the overall outcome was it ended the war and saved countless lives. Would you have preferred the war go on and keep taking a staggering toll on human life?

Yes, funny and cool beats fire balls, even if they were too risqué for their age. Would you rather the Soviets or ISIS send us that or fire balls? I think I would rather the Moslems lighten up a bit and prefer belly dancing to fire balls.

So Alpha you have just turned the killing of innocents, from a Moral Offence
    ...................................................................................... into a Moral Imperitive
...................................................................................... How very convenient for your War Machine

.................................I don't know how you do that with a clear conscience Alphie
..................................My cognitive dissonance wheels would start to squeak

BTW - A good & well documented case has been made that Hiroshima/Nagasaki was totally unnecessary
    .............................................................................................. a Moral Offence

    --------------------------------------------------------------
Dropping “The Bomb” On Hiroshima and Nagasaki Was Never Justified
    http://theantimedia.org/dropping-the-bomb-on-hiroshima-and-nagasaki-was-never-justified/

“Nevertheless, it seems clear that, even without the atomic bombing attacks, air supremacy over Japan
could have exerted sufficient pressure to bring about unconditional surrender and obviate the need for
invasion. Based on a detailed investigation of all the facts, and supported by the testimony of the surviving
Japanese leaders involved, it is the Survey’s opinion that certainly prior to 31 December 1945,…Japan
would have surrendered even if the atomic bombs had not been dropped, even if Russia had not entered
the war, and even if no invasion had been planned or contemplated

Was the Bombing of Hiroshima Necessary? Three Myths Debunked
    http://www.takepart.com/article/2011/08/05/was-bombing-hiroshima-necessary-three-myths-debunked
    --------------------------------------------------------------

So we see Hiroshima/Nagasaki as unnecessary & unjustified and a Moral Offence, as was the bombing
of Iraq, Libya, Vietnam etc etc, back into the stone age.

When will you people have had enough of Justifying your War Mongering with your Sick & Repulsive Paranoia

You eat ravenously the Propaganda fed you - Spend your Treasure & the Blood of your children to feed a totally
........................................................................ INSANE and out of control, Military Industrial Complex :steamed:

easy...lets see which option you think is better.
Is it better to kill 10 innocent people or 100? You make the choice given only those options. If you refuse to make the choice then thats why you could never be a leader.

Only to the people they are being shot at, otherwise, they might crash in Iran and kill someone else.

I pity the poor bastard who is assigned this weapon. Knowing it's designed and built by Russians, you can bet it will explode and kill the person carrying it and probably everyone around him.

    May I gently point out:

You do not have to Bomb everybody who disagrees with you back into the Stone Age

You can safely stick your Full Spectrum Dominance where the sun don’t shine -

Anybody or Nation that feels they must Dominate others is by self evident A Priori definition - INSANE
