Awesome! Gun related death statistics: +1 Violent crime statistics: -x (x=the number of future crimes this scumbag would have committed, now prevented) The only bad news in this story is that the accomplice got away with his life.
I don't care about the burglar, I would care about my child. - - - Updated - - - Yes there is, he shot at the car.
You're saying his parents don't care about him? He may have shot at the car, doesn't mean he chased it. That he shot at it, presumably trying to hit the other burglar, I think proves that he's of sound mind and trauma free. But weep for the thug if you must.
Oh look some people don't understand even police officers have trauma with their first kill. So I would imagine a 13 year old kid will also have trauma common sense.
It is far more likely that the criminals shot their own car to bolster their "shot at on the highway" story, however, the linked article does not indicate the child shot at the car. I would think they'd include that tidbit, if it had actually happened.
You're right. Here's a link - http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/s-boy-13-kills-burglar-mother-gun-police-article-1.2431838 The teen’s mom, who, like her son, was not identified, was “speechless” when she found out what happened, she told the Post and Courier. “I tell my kids that if anything ever happens to call 911, but I also tell them to protect themselves if they have to,” the boy’s mother said. “I never would have dreamed that this would have been a part of our day today.”
I would care about my child not my possessions. How would he have fired at the car without going outside? Which part of "I don't care about the burglar" do you not understand?
I very much doubt all cops have trauma with their first kill, especially when done in self defense. The kid heard a car park in the back of the house, went to look and saw the men approach with guns drawn. It seems to really irk some people when a citizen uses a gun to defend themselves and turn the tables on the bad guys. It spoils their anti-gun grabboid narrative.
http://news.sky.com/story/1585952/home-alone-boy-kills-burglar-in-shootout "The two suspects fled in their car, and the boy continued shooting at them as they drove away, according to an affidavit."
It is a failing of our criminal justice system that these men, having demonstrated long and violent criminal histories, were ever restored their liberty and turned out amongst the peaceable public.
proof that even a adult with the mind of a 13 year old should be allowed to own a gun to protect their home and family had mom of been banned from owning a gun for mental or criminals reasons, the child may be dead today the right to own a gun should not be denied to ANY free American... period .
Thank you for the link. NOW there is finally an indication that the child shot at the car. He's a damn good shot, apparently. Kudos to him, and to his mom.
The burglar was armed. I think the boy would probably have been dead if he hadn't shot the guy. I do feel sorry for the kid. He does have a lot of therapy ahead of him.
So now that it has been shown to be true, I can repost this: If that was my child, in that situation I would have told him to get out of the house as quickly as possible. The fact that he thought that getting a gun was the best cause of action is worrying. Two men in his house but only one shot and then chasing after the car! Not brave but stupid. I'm sure that tv was worth it.
Or he should have gone to a neighbour and phoned the police. It would have spared him the possible therapy ahead of him.
But, instead, he did our society a favor and offed a violent criminal who had already been through the revolving-door justice system several times prior. I'm sure, if the next people they would have robbed and murdered could know they had been spared, they would be grateful for this kid's action on their behalf. He is, in my mind, a super-hero of sorts. He has not only saved his own life and property, but also thwarted a lifetime of future violence that our criminal justice system failed to do. Perhaps the surviving accomplice will have second thoughts about his career choices as well (probably not).
The kid was shooting from the inside of the house. Is it not possible that he missed a few times and hit the thugs car instead? Anyways who gives a damn, a good kid lived and there is one less piece of poop roaming the streets.
It's no different than when the thug lovers tried to paint the picture of Zimmerman chasing treyvon, it is very common for gun haters to attempt to create a narrative to support one of their pet voting blocks. Next I want to see the trial or interview with the deceased criminals family, so we can hear about how their child was a good boy and would never hurt anyone and just filled out an application for Harvard and was on his way to being a nuclear physicist.
