Authorities believe three suspects entered the unlocked Indianapolis home of 28-year-old Amanda Blackburn on Nov. 10 as she was waiting for husband Davey to return from the gym. As Jalen Watson and Diano Gordan fled with her ATM card, Larry Taylor allegedly shot her three times, including once in the head. She passed away the following day. The suspects attempted several times to withdraw money using Blackburn's credit card, according to court documents obtained by the Indianapolis Star. The 18-year-old Taylor is facing 13 charges, including murder, felony burglary, theft, robbery and auto theft. He was also charged with carrying a handgun without a license, a misdemeanor. He also faces public nudity and public indecency charges after he allegedly exposed himself to a woman in a parking lot in June. Watson, 21, was hit with 10 charges Monday, including murder, felony burglary, theft, robbery and auto theft. Gordan was being held on parole violations, but authorities are mulling other charges against him. Authorities believe the trio had burglarized two homes before attacking Amanda Blackburn. Taylor may have seen Davey Blackburn leave shortly after he had allegedly burglarized a nearby house, investigators believe. DNA testing was crucial to the charges against Taylor and Watson, prosecutors said Monday. Indianapolis cops arrested Taylor with the assistance of U.S. Marshals. Fox 59 had reported earlier Monday that Blackburn had been raped, but none of the suspects were charged with sexual assault. Watson and Taylor are both being held at the Marion County Jail. Amanda Blackburn was 13 weeks pregnant when she was shot.Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry has not decided whether to press charges relating to the death of the fetus. Davey and Amanda Blackburn also have a 15-month-old son, who was in a crib upstairs during the attack. The decision on the death penalty could come in the next few weeks. Curry will review evidence and confer with the Blackburn family before making a decision whether to pursue capital punishment. The pastor said Monday he was “extremely relieved” to hear about the arrests. Anyone want to guess what they look like?
I don't believe in the death penalty, but if the two men are convicted, I hope they get life in prison without any chance for parole.
I hope they lock them both away for life with no chance of parole. Instead, they'll probably serve 20 years and then be let out to make room for another pot smoker.
Report the whole truth. Two black men charges with the murder. Now is the question is-----------------------where are the statements of Obama and Sharpton?????
Oooohhh, a lifetime on the dole. That'll teach 'em. Or they'll be let out because progressives decide there are too many blacks in prison, evidence of our racist criminal justice system. Plus they may start writing children's books behind bars like Stan Tookie Williams and tug at the heart strings of certain people.
Sure hope they get the death penalty, and I hope they dont string us along for 30 years before they have to pay the tab. No need for people like this in our society. I dont believe in Life behind bars for scum such as this, as to do this you are risking other lives being taken by them. Whether it's a fellow Convict who never killed anyone, a worker at the corrections facility...or another innocent life when these thugs escape...it's simply not worth the risk.
Indiana is a death penalty state. The last execution in Indiana was in 2009. There are currently 13 people on death row in Indiana, but none of them have an execution date.
