Why is it every time we have a mass shooting liberals call for a ban on guns. Yet, when that mass shooting is at the hands of Muslim terrorists liberals tell you not to worry, because it will probably never happen to you. Are liberals really saying ban all guns or just rural guns.
Liberals only say these things in the voices heard in the minds of right-wingers. Liberals DO call for background checks, and other measures to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill and children. In fact, the vast majority of Americans support such laws, not just liberals. But, that is when the voices in the heads of the right-wingers start telling them "Obama is coming after your guns." .

There are some Conservatives that are pushing for stricter gun control laws. Even they see the disgusting element of sickening gun violence in America. It is not a Liberal or a Conservative issue....it's an all-American issue.

It should be obvious. Gun control has never been about public safety or protecting us from murder or mass shootings. It has always been about symbolism and control. Yes in some ways this means rural guns. A gun gives you no promise and does not secure or protect you by itself. But it is somewhat symbolic. It is symbolic of a certain degree of personal independence and non conformism. It is somewhat symbolic of self reliance and individualism. Both left and right in politics hates these ideas but the left wing hates these ideas a little more which is why they hate guns in the hands of common people. But of course they are ok with guns in the hands of the elites. The left wing is marginally more loyal to an aristocracy than the right wing is and cannot stand dissent. Notice a few parallels such as those who advocate gun control often disdain or are critical of preppers or Nascar or Wal mart. Rural people are also marginally more independent and self reliant which is what the gun grabbers truly hate more than anything else.
In fact, barring the extremists alienated from America, most folks recognize the need to adopt reasonable, preventative measures against the ongoing carnage. Meanwhile, terrorists love to have permissive gun laws. An al-Qaeda-issued video tells terrorists about how easy it is to obtain guns in America, and they, no doubt, appreciate the NRA's favoring them over the American public in that respect.
