When President Reagan signed his law #12333 (I think) Did he ever envisage the electronic age and the super power of NSA's computers where drone strikes have made political assassination a daily occurence without any direct human involvement. I.e. The person pulling the trigger could be thousands of miles away, with the Presidents authorisation making him complicit in the killings. Worse still we might make it possible for a GOP president or even Trump, heaven forbid, to pull the trigger regularly. They seem to gave no human conscience at all, when it comes to killing.

And while I am on the subject does anyone think honestly we will defeat the Taliban. Many have tried before over 100's if not1000's of years. Why do we think we will succeed now. I think US is fooling itself, fir the benefit only of the Military /Industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned us of those many years sho.

America did not learn its lesson from Vietnam, i.e., keep out of the affairs of other countries.

I remember President Reagan was gung-ho on his Star Wars missile defense plan in which if any country attacked America with a missile, there would be a missile fired in America that would intercept the enemy's missile and destroy it.

Yes America does need to stay out of other peoples business. Learn from their past mistakes. Have they ever been involved in winning any war since WW2. Personally I can'the think of a real win only negotiated settlement (N Korea) or withdrawal since.
