The use of personal email to conduct government business has yet another Obama administration official making headlines. The New York Times reported that Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter did so for part of his official work in the first months after taking on his duties. The newspaper said it has obtained copies of Carter's emails.

The Defense Secretary reportedly kept using private email after news about Hillary Clinton's use of a personal email server during her service as Secretary of State triggered attacks by Republican lawmakers.

They have alleged that the administration has not handled government information with care. Both Clinton and Carter have said they have not put sensitive information in jeopardy.

Carter believes that his use of personal email occasionally for work "was a mistake," Pentagon spokesman Cook said. "As a result, he stopped such use of his personal email and further limited his use of email altogether.".....snip~

Another doing the same thing that Hillary did. Like Hillary he says he don't think he has put out any sensitive info. Of course with Hillary.....now it has been proven she lied about putting out sensitive material. This is how inept those Democrats are.

Naturally CNN tried to give some cover saying that her use of her private server did not break State Rules. Yet CNN forgets that Judge Sullivan stated the Employee - Hillary.....broke government policy. Seems he don't think much of the State Depts lame excuse. CNN even attaches a link where BO peep says her use of private emails didn't affect national Security. Of course CNN didn't want to mention that BO peep said the same thing over Petraeus. Note how the Peep was wrong on that account. Like with most anything else this Mope thinks of.

Quite amazing Carter would do this knowing about the coverage and the FBI catching Cheryl Mills sending 2 classified emails to the Clinton Foundation. What say ye?

They can contact all their personal stuff with their personal account, they can all contact their personal stuff with their government account but they CANNOT all use their personal accounts to do government business. If they do that, my hope is they get charged, convicted and get jail time. So no, we cannot move on.

 

Such a trivial matter! Just like the witch hunt against Hillary regarding her private Emails. Time to move on!

The problem that so many people have (on all political sides) is that they think & expect that some of the established rules (by the mere fact that they exist) are also at the same time adhered to. They are not.

And like children disappointed on Christmas morning when there is no Pony under the tree - they freak out when they find out that some of these "rules" are bent.

I have news for you, they are bent by a lot of people almost all the time. That's what made the Hillary email issue a farce and a non-scandal.

It's literally impossible to expect that every employee in the government at every branch of government will follow all of these rules just as it's insane to think the government is going to spend millions of dollars prosecuting all of the people that break them on a daily basis.

Seriously, you guys need to let go of so many things your angry about because in the "real world" they don't amount to a spec of dust on an ants back.

You know why you see so many of these kinds of stories and why your going to keep seeing them....because almost exclusively all government employees instinctively keep operating the way they did in previous positions before they get security clearance's and go through new training to cover all the new ITAR rules & such.................ASK ME HOW I KNOW???

And yes I would say all the same things if these were reports of conservatives under a conservative president breaking these rules............

This is called getting into the "weeds", and it's ridiculous.

 

You know, if they were smart they would use those personal email servers to propagate false intelligence information to our enemies.

Now if only the government were that smart.

It's a security breach, it endangers our country, it provides our known and unknown enemies with inside information hacked from their private accounts. It's dangerous, it's insane, and it has to be stopped.

As usual, the actual offense is not what get's people in trouble, it's the lies and attempts to cover it up - Hillary is a habitual liar as is her husband. Ask General Petraeus how much of a non-scandal it is...
