We now have evidence George Bush 1 was involved, directly, with the CIA more then he claimed, and that he was outside the book depository at the assassination of Kennedy. Moreover, we know that he was directly involved in training the Cubans for the failed Bay of Pigs operation, and that he had a VESTED interest in removing Kennedy from power, since Kennedy wanted to dismantle the CIA.

We know that George Bush II was never formally questioned by congress about the 9/11 attacks, and that no real, tangible study was ever done on the science behind the towers falling, and that there was a need to create a new boogeyman to keep us afraid and willing to lose our rights.

We know that the Bush family had massive ties, financially, to the sordid dictators of the middle east due to their oil empires. We also know that Prescott Bush aided in the raise of Adolf Hitler by funding sundry Nazi progects.

We know that the right wing has been the main vocal opponent of "conspiracy" theories since they were bought by the Rotschilds, Morgans, Bush's and sundry other rich and powerful emperors.

With the mere notion that these false flag attacks were used under the guise of external terrors, and that the Bush family seems to orbit the center of each major event in US history, is it ANY WONDER that people are sick and fed up with the Republican Party, and their white washing of history?

The democrats, LBJ in particular, may be just as guilty. But the dyansty of the Bushes is marred with these black spots, this murderous history, and yet - not one of them is formally investigated. Not one is charged, not one is scientifically peer reviewed - the assassination of Kennedy and the events of 9/11.

Terrorism as a whole is just an invention. It's another means of the rich using religion to bankrupt and control the poor. The creation of our fictitious enemy goes right back to the sordid past of the 40's, and extends into our future, unless we CHOOSE to change it.

I have not experienced Islamic students attempting to radicalize Christian or Jewish students in the school's, but can imagine the uproar that would come from the, so far silent American Islamic community regarding fundamentalist holocaust's against us, by their Islamic parents, supported by our Islamic President, who thankfully, leaves office soon...............

There needn't be an attempt at conversion. Saying Merry Christmas isn't an attempt at conversion but it's still not allowed in the curriculum. And actually the phrase itself is an attempt at conversion, but again conversion isn't part of the criteria for what and what isn't allowed.

 

I stand corrected about the intent of this topic, but you have to admit that Vernan89188's comment had nothing to do with this topic. What I meant to say was that my posts were about the hypocrisy of liberals backing limitations on Christianity and Judaism while teaching Islam in schools.

When you started this topic, I thought your premise was flawed. I chose not to point it out, but to show the liberal hypocrisy instead. But since you have pressed the point, I will address the issue. As I have pointed out in previous posts, a lesson plan that teaches only one religion is an endorsement of that religion. As I have also pointed, Arabic Calligraphy predates Islam by several centuries. So, the lesson plan could have taught about the Calligraphy without mentioning Islam, the Quran, Mosques or the Shahada. Yet the lesson taught about all of these. It even described the Shahada as an Islamic statement of faith. So, there is no doubt that the lesson is an endorsement of Islam.

So, here is the flaw in your premise. The timing is not what is wring. The fact that Muslim terrorists have recently carried an attack is beside the point. This lesson should not be taught in public schools now or ever. Unless you are willing to teach Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and all the other major religions in the world.

 

Of course context is relevant. There is a large difference between education about culture and endorsement of a particular religion.
