OK, I made it through 14 minutes of this, that's enough. The guy sighted Fort Hood. A Terrorist shot up an American military base and HIS administration classified it as workplace violence. Almost all of the examples he used happened in "gun FREE zones", yet, he didn't mention that little fact. Then, the little POS found time to mock people who might question his new one man mandate by reaching to a single time and incident without mentioning all details about what liberals actually wanted to pass as law. And the truly sickening thing about this using G. Gifford as a prop for this EO, as if she's the only person who's ever suffered from a violent act. What about the hundreds of blacks in Chicago, Philly & DC, Mr. Obama, why don't they get a mention? I'm sure you could have found one or two who've suffered the same or worse. But, no stage for them I guess.

What a crock this is. Obama isn't being honest. He's pushing an agenda plain and simple. And, while he mocks those who disagree with him the little turd doesn't have the balls to actually take his proposal to American people in any way except BS announcements like this and some staged town hall that'll be equally as egotistically obnoxious as this.

 

At best the anti-Christ will guarantee a Trump or Cruz presidency. At worst he will cause another civil war.

 

His foreign policy is awful (not as bad as Bush's though) but he did the right thing here. Too bad the cowards who genuflect before the NRA will try to derail it or any sensible common sense gun control proposal.

The fact he resorts to emotion to push his illegal and unconstitutional gun control agenda reinforces the fact the gun banners are desperate. They have lost the factual battle, the facts show gun control is a failure. They have lost the people, the majority of the people of the USA support gun rights. They have lost Congress. They have lost almost all the states.

How is this confusing? People become numb to horrible things when they happen all the time and this numbness is seen as tragic. But again, feeling wully sad about something doesn't mean you should do something about it if it won't help.

 

I really don't think he is sincere. I believe he will do or say anything to benefit and advance his left-wing agenda, with gun control being a big aspect of it. He wants more division during this last year in office because he has nothing to lose, and dividing and conquering is what Marxists like him do under his conflict theory sociological perspective.

 

It's not like I can read his mind, but that just doesn't ring true. Back when Obama was first elected, he seemed to really believe in compromising wherever possible and trying to find common ground. But it became clear that republicans would never support anything he suggests or compromise with him at all, even going so far as to almost shut down the government. He takes unilateral action because otherwise, almost nothing he believes in would ever have happened without a democratic supermajority. Most likely, he's just like most left wingers on gun control in that they want gun control because they think it will help with gun violence, and they feel like people are dying and they can do something about it. They're misguided, maybe stupid, but not doing things just to make you mad. What Obama most likely wants is to pass a gun control measure, and for gun violence to decrease, and then he'll say he told you so but primarily feel good about saving lives. That's probably his fantasy anyway - not what would really happen.
