    Worst militia ever!

Seriously, for a group that was prepared to stay there for years, how did they forget socks? Or enough food for years? Or enough water for years?

And asking for money? What, do they want to be handed everything in life? Supported not for working but because they are needy? Sorry, they humbly accept donations, not asking for them.

I am getting the impression this group is a bumbling, ill prepared gathering of fellows whom would rather protest imaginary things than support themselves.

It's hard to mount on occupation on an empty stomach.

Despite claims that the armed militiamen who are occupying a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service building in Oregon are set up for a lengthy stay, Facebook posts from some of the men and their supporters are asking for supplies, including "snacks and energy drinks."

While Ammon Bundy initially told The Oregonian that his group was ready to occupy the building "for years, absolutely," posts are circulating on social media that are asking for, among other things, cold weather supplies (including socks) and the aforementioned snacks and energy drinks on behalf of the group.

"We are not asking for money," a message from Jon Ritzheimer, an organizer of assorted anti-Islam rallies, posted by one Blaine Cooper, reads. But "we will humbly accept money donations," the post continues.

"Things we could use," the post adds, before listing: "Cold weather socks, snacks, energy drinks, equipment for cold weather, snow camo, gear," and "anything you think will help."

I know exactly what to send them...

Duct Tape Roll - for their next press conference. They would make more sense with it covering their mouths.

EBT Cards - loaded with the new lower amount mandated by the Republicans in Congress. Lets see how easily they can survive on that as there only food source.

Snow shovels - while they are there they might as well do something useful.

Last but not least The David Koresh guide to surviving Federal Standoffs. Hopefully they will take his advice.

I notice that these morons aren't getting any support from the majority of R's but the lefties must continue beating the pots and pans screaming that these idiots represent all conservatives.

They should apply for food stamps, to help their campaign against the govt.
They already got a 530k Fed loan, I guess that wasn't enough.

Maybe a Blu-ray set of "Jericho" would be a good gift for them, too.

    Okay.

Worst gathering of slightly overweight to moderately obese middle aged men wearing fatigues and carrying guns in a lame standoff ever!

And they keep labeling them as "militia". The right didn't support Bundy either yet you would think all the conservatives were marching in the street defending them. As usual even when their is agreement the left tries to use it as a political hammer.

Oh, wait. They have the wrong agenda. They should be burned and killed like the heretics that they are.

Yeah, I haven't actually seen anyone say that they support what they did.

But yet... if you ask a leftist, they won't admit that.

To be fair a couple of them are former Marines.

While i dont support their actions calling them "obese" while displaying a lack of knowledge would be borderline bigotry.

Way false equivalency. The occupiers were not armed insurrectionists. They were not demanding anything for free. They were making a truly political statement. These guys are bunch of free-lunch wannabees that pretend to be "army men" and want free stuff from the public. They are not making a political statement they are committing armed insurrection. Their leader has no shame. He decries the Federal tyranny while utilizing Federal subsidies to fund his "private" business. He is a fraud that wants to take public resources without paying for them.

"anything I think will help"? How about bus tickets back to where they came from?

They are making a political statement. It just happens to be one you don't like so that makes them fraudulent and shameless. I'd note that those Native Americans are/were receiving a great deal in Federal subsidies, and they have good reason to decry Federal tyranny. How about these people:

    Are you sympathetic to them?

I am, but unlike you progressives and your conservative counterparts, I'm not a hypocrite when it comes to protesting tyranny. Even when there's a government leash made of subsidies.

Is it idiotic to oppose government seizing your land involuntarily - and then renting your own land back to you? The amount of land the government has stolen is astronomical. Obama said one thing he is most proud of is that he has seized more private land than any prior president. In some states, the government has seized over half of all land in the state.

The government is a horder. It seizes anything it wants, whether it needs or uses it or not.

Explore the history of the land they are occupying and you will find the government seized it from private owners - and then rented the land it seized out for government profit, while basically converting the renter into their unpaid employee and share cropper.

The arson charge, not exactly their reason, was absolutely absurd. Arson means deliberately illegally starting a fire for the purpose of illegally destroying property. Starting a campfire that goes out of control isn't arson. Burning poison ivy in your yard isn't arson.

The two again imprisoned did not commit the crime of arson. They did a land burn-off (something the government does all the time) and the fire got out of control crossing off their rented property onto non-rented government property. Because the government wanted those 2 they were absurdly prosecuted for "arson" and given more prison time than most first offender assailants, burglars and even rapists get.

Does the government ever do land burn-off that goes onto private property? Yes, all the time. Is any government employee prosecuted for arson? Of course not.

It is people like those ranchers that are the firewall between government and the rest of us. It takes militants drawing a line that prevents the government just outright turning all of us entirely into their sharecroppers and slaves.

What would your sentiments be if the government suddenly seized your vehicles and personal property - and then offered to lease it back to you, telling you how you may and may not use it? That's what's going on out there.

When did the Hammond's or the Bundy's have land seized from them?

I would rather see the Federal Government give socks, snacks, and money toward the Syrian refugees than to those dufuses who are occupying the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Building in Oregon.

The difference with the Native protesters, while some of them may have been receiving federal subsidies, they were not demanding any free stuff. They were demanding basic rights and for services already promised them multiple times to be delivered.

I did not and would not support the black panthers. While I would support some of their goals I would never support their means. The Black Panthers main goal, at least at the start, was to end police brutality. They then began to ask for free stuff like the Free-Lunch militia in Oregon. Armed insurrection is NOT necessary in this country. We have political means to effect change. We have seen time and time again groups use the political process to affect their desired change without resorting to armed insurrection. The Panthers were wrong. The Free-Lunch militia is wrong.

One of those Bundy idiots just tweeted in regards to the government shutting off power to the building that the -16 degree temperatures and no power risks harming the women and children there.

They are trying to use women and children as human shields.
