Now of course he wrote this in 2011, but now you talk about a guy having to eat his words. I know he feels like a complete idiot in 2015. This sounds like something stupid Stephen A. Smith or Skip Bayless would say.

The only question that remains is whether Folsom will be wearing boxers or briefs.

Everyone is an expert when it comes to the draft, after all, just listening to the cheers and boos after each pick is all you need to know. Now I'm willing to give the people who have spent a life time in the game, have millions invested, and risk their own jobs and future success with a bad pick the benefit of doubt. But no matter how much I agree or disagree with a pick I would never openly second guess the expertise of those who have so much invested in a good pick.

In all honesty I didn't think Cam was a sure fire thing at the beginning either. He had the atheletic ability no doubt, but I questioned his decision making. I mean let's be honest, the guy was was carbon copy of Tebow coming out of college. They were both big guys who could fire the ball and knock people over at will, and that's all I saw in either of them. Cam was just faster.

But I believe Cam proved a MANY people wrong in this case, he really wasn't expected to make it this far. But his size and atheletic ability have come through for him as he is truly a dual threat QB. His decision making got much better over time, but damn it if he had the intelligence of Tom Brady or Peyton Manning there would be no doubt Cam would be the greatest QB to play the game by the end of his career.

The man has carried this panthers squad on his back using nothing but ability, if he doesn't get MVP it would be a crime above all crimes.

But yes Cam has proven to be that good, I wish to see this writer in a Cam jersey and his tighty whitey's lmao.

At least I was right about Tebow, I believed 100% he was not going to have a real career as an NFL qb. I still hate the fact that people hang from his nuts like he was something great in college. All those rushing TD's mostly came from inside the 3 yard line. And come on, it's college. Tommy Frazier is still over Teblow by a mile.

Obviously anyone comparing Newton to Ryan Lief thinks that Newton will fail because he is black.

Newton did have a lot of question marks. He just fixed his lower body mechanics this year. And by fixed I mean that he dose the right thing most of the time. He will still try to arm throw without bringing his feet to the target and you will see the ball sail on him.

People tended to have unreasonable expectations of Tim Tebow who had terrible throwing mechanics and was slow getting the football out of his hands. It must be that people liked the God boy thing going on but I always thought God was a big picture sort of diety and cared little for who won a football game. If God cared, would the 1990 Dallas crack wagon teams have won even a single Superbowl? Would Ty Cobb even hit .200 if God cared? And for every time Tim Tebow completed a pass and pointed in the air to thank God there has got to be a defense back who would be cursing Satan for allowing Tim Tebow to come even close to hitting his target. I really don't want to hear Tim Tebow thank the Lord for the Broncos winning a game until I hear someone say, "We could have won if Jesus hadn't caused me to fumble." It is just the other side of the same coin.

I think Cam is going to a shoe in for MVP.
But, I don't think the Pathers have been really put to the test, with the exception of playing the Giants.
They've had a pretty easy schedual this year.

If the guy likes Tebow, he's clearly an awful person. It didn't look like Cam was going to mature into the QB he is now just a few years back. But yes, he should eat those words about cam.

People today have very short attention spans and patience. They are self-absorbed with instant gratification. Newton is only 26 years old. A lot of players don't really peak or hit their stride until about 28. That can definitely be the case with a thinking and leadership position like quarterback.

It's that, or these guys are really being sensational and don't even believe what they are saying. Sort of like the blow hards on talk radio and blabber TV news shows. They are just trying to sell newspapers.
