That's a talent, but has no bearing on her intelligence. There are people who have a considerable talent for sarcasm. I think Jon Stewart was much better at it than she is because he manages to blend sarcasm with humor.

That's a talent, as well. Intelligence would be explaining how his ideas will work using airtight logic. Obama's tear jerker speech the other day showed a true talent for appealing to the emotion, but they don't stand up to even rudimentary facts, such as the fact that none of his ideas would have worked to stop any of those shootings he was so emotional about.

His audience doesn't care what muslims think. To even modify that was stupid of him. Those that called his statement stupid are not his supporters, so to change anything just lessened him in the eyes of his supporters.

He's not a constitutional scholar. Other than a slew of autobiographies (says something about the man right there), he has no published work. He couldn't get a job teaching part-time at a junior college with a resume that has no published papers. That old adage of publish or perish doesn't include writing about yourself.

His gig in Chicago has the same validity as Jeremy Clarkson's honorary doctorate in engineering.

You missed the same point that the MSM has.

Your words: "Muslim causes a violent act" = The problem.

I don't think you get it, the gun made him a religious fanatic willing to kill.

Your inability to understand her intelligence is not proof of its absence.

All violence in the name of religion is mental instability. I mean, belief in religion at all could be taken as mental instability depending on who you ask.

Or proof of it's existence. Just because she caters to liberal fantasies does not mean she is intelligent, just manipulative.

Yawwwn! Yes, of course you are correct. However, there appears to be a lack of anything Maddow has said that you consider intelligent to accompany this ad hominem.

Seems you can't find anything either, so that puts us both in the same boat.

Opinions are fine things, as far as opinions go.

I did not miss anything.. I asked what will make certain people happy. If you are not happy with how CNN reported the story the write up a headline like I did.

Show us your headline that would be on this story ! Write the headline that would make you happy. That's all.

    I wrote one - so why can't you ?

Hmm..., you left out the important part. It was a semi-auto gun stolen from the home of a policeman in 2013. It wasn't bought illegally at a gun show.

Though that would likely be loads of fun, it serves no more purpose than your attempt.

What you've missed for the second time now is that it's not about titles.

What would make me happy is reporting and editorials that don't stand on the dead/injured to make agenda driven points.

But I am a rebel after all.

so your saying this was not gun violence, this was a live report right after the shooting, terrorism is the reason this gun violence happened, that and of course the guy was a religious nut

CNN was also cautious on the gun violence at the planned parenthood shooting too, waiting for the facts to come in

I don't think he was as much a radical Islamic terrorist as he was a raging nutbar, provided with an explanation for the voices in his head and his paranoia of white cops.

As to Dylan roof, I have no clue if he was nuts, but he himself stated he was a racist. If you wish to equate racism with mental illness, I' won't argue.

apparently the courts determined he was not a nut job, or at least was sane enough to stand trial.

What will make people happy is to report news with some integrity. Reporting it solely as 'gun violence', while true, is omitting some important information regarding the incident. Given the muslim terrorism going on in this country as well as the world, that aspect of the crime should be noted and reported and it should at minimum accompany the label 'gun violence'.

CNN is pushing their agenda instead of just reporting the news as truthfully and accurately as they can, which is what people want.

If this guy is crazy, he will be evaluated. But as of the moment we only have what his mom said. We also know what he told the police. I would say I tend to believe him at this point. I wouldn't go making excuses for him at this point either.

Nut job is a non-professional term. One can be a n ut job but still be deemed capable understand what the charges are against them and what is going on in court.

WHAT???!!!!!!!! Damn, now I'll have to re-write half my bloody book on the mental deficiencies and other merits of nut jobs.

    - - - Updated - - -

I agree, the courts will determine if he is indeed crazy. But if he is, then believing what he said, is believing in crazy talk.

What information was omitted ? CNN REPORTED THESE HEADLINES = "POLICE: SUSPECT IN OFFICER'S SHOOTING CLAIM ALLEGENCE TO ISIS" - He was reported wearing an ankle length white garment. " Capt. James Clark, commander of the homicide unit, told CNN the suspect said to investigators: "I follow Allah. I pledge my allegiance to the Islamic State and that's why I did what I did." - "Clark said: "He just kept on echoing those sentiments and he wouldn't give us anything more than that."

CNN QUOTED OFFICIALS ALSO " Officials said they did not know whether the latest attack was part of a broader conspiracy or whether Archer had contact with terrorists."

They reported what the the Mayor said ---" M CNN did not say this the mayor did. Mayor Jim Kenney said the shooting had nothing to do with Islam "It is abhorrent," he said. "It does not represent the religion in any shape or form or any of the teachings. This is a criminal with a stolen gun who tried to kill one of our officers, and it has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith." -

technically the mayor was correct but he did not have to emphasize this.

Was CNN wrong in reporting what the Police Commander said ?

Was CNN wrong in reporting what the mayor sad ?

Should they have suppressed what the mayor said ?

This was basically the first day's reports. What did they omit ? This was several hours after the event ..

When I responded to you, it was your response to the screen shot which I was referring to. That screen shot said gun violence and nothing else.

'Having nothing to do with Islam' is a Western fallacy.

Interesting, so the confession has no weight to you but the moms statement after the incident of him hearing voices does. Why didn't the mom do something before if she knew her son was hearing voices? This is like that guy who supplied the guns to the San Bernadino terrorists. When he knew he was about to get caught he starts having mental issues. Cant wait to see the left defend Enrique Marquez Jr.
OK lets equate racism to mental illness. Obama is the most powerful racist we have ever seen. If hes crazy I look forward to supporting his impeachment, if hes not crazy, then it looks like your above statement is not true. If racism makes you crazy then all the PF leftist members who made racist comments about white people need to be reported to the authorities? Agree?

For the moment I will take what he said at face value until proven different or after his eval. I suppose we all jump to assumptions. You know what they say about assumptions and assumptions making as ass out of us all the time.

I think it is safer or more correct at this time to take he says as what he believes now. He may have heard voices or whatever, but even a nut job can believe that what ever he is doing is correct and hold that belief dearly. I believe we shouldn't just jump to the conclusion he is mentally insane based only on a mother's statement. Let the evaluation decide that. In the meantime, I, myself will stay with what he said as the truth.

The mayor should have kept his fool mouth shut or said that this terrorist misused the Muslim religion. Better yet kept his fool mouth shut.

Belief in something is proof of its existence? On what planet does that make sense? Only someone who has forsaken logic for bronze age fairy tales would believe something like that.

Again, just because you don't understand her (you need to pay attention more than if you were watching hannity), doesn't make her less intelligent.
