The investigative reporter Robert Parry wants to know why the US after asserting it possessed information implicating ethnic Russian rebels and the Russian government did not make the data public or even share it with Dutch investigators who are leading the inquiry into how the plane was shot down and who was responsible.

Right after the plane was shot down, Kerry began to accuse the Russian rebels and their Russian supporters. He even made the rounds of talk shows so it would leave little doubt in people's minds who was to blame. This is what Kerry said on NBC's Meet the Press.

“But even more importantly, we picked up the imagery of this launch. We know the trajectory. We know where it came from. We know the timing. And it was exactly at the time that this aircraft disappeared from the radar.”

Robert Parry was told by a source who was briefed by US analysts, that what they saw in high resolution satellite photos were Ukrainian military personnel manning the battery believed to have fired the missile. After getting more information they came to believe the attack was carried out by a rogue Ukrainian element with ties to a Ukrainian oligarch. (Kolomoisky)

Of course Washington never retracted its claims. It simply went silent, leaving in place the widespread belief that the ethnic Russian rebels were responsible for the atrocity and that the Russian government had been highly irresponsible in supplying a powerful Buk system to the rebels. Washington also convinced the EU to impose sanctions on Russia and to treat Pres. Putin as an international pariah.

So who is the pariah here, Vladimir Putin or our own government? Here is a letter from a bereaved father to Kerry, asking him to please share the evidence he has with the Dutch Safety Board.

It is my understanding, that neither the Dutch government nor the Dutch Safety Board [DSB] have officially received the radar information from the US that you referred to. It is not included in the [DSB] report and it is not in the public domain,” Schansman wrote.

“On behalf of the bereaved parents and to assist in the pursuit of justice, I would like to request that the United States provides the DSB with the radar data you referred to at the press conference and all other available and relevant information (like satellite data and infrared satellite data) that is in your government’s possession.

“I would be most grateful if the United States either directly or through NATO would publicly hand over to the Dutch Safety Board radar and satellite data of the minutes before and after the crash. … This would enable the DSB to reopen the investigation and include a chapter with this information, which is essential for a successful criminal prosecution. I count on the support of the government of the United States to find and prosecute those responsible for my son and your citizen’s death.”

No suprises that the US won't provide the evidence they have, because it shows it was the Ukrainian unit that shot the aircraft down. Kerry's form of words he used in that television interview on the intelligence they have is masterful in the way deceitful way it was designed to implicate Russia without actually stating that outright. Clearly it was chosen for that purpose.

It's not just the Americans who refuse to share it. I heard on the news the Ukrainians refuse it too. While the Russians presented a case the Ukrainians had BUK batteries too.

    Even worse...
Ukraine shot down a passenger plane before, flight 1812, in 2001.
Even though they paid for some damages, they hardly have admitted they did it.

I noticed that too. Obama does the same thing. I find it demonic when suspicions are put in the public's minds by politicians without incriminating themselves by stating it implicitly. It's pure manipulation. It's also troubling the way our politicians use their training in law for nefarious purposes, rather then for justice.

Kerry knew it was dishonest to influence the public unless there was proof of guilt, yet that's what he did when he accused the rebels in Ukraine of shooting down the plane, and by extension Vladimir Putin. Russia should have a great lawsuit here for what the sanctions cost them, considering it was based on false premises. Of course it can't fight the Washington influenced court at the Hague...unless the power structures change.

Since the only purpose for law, and specifically international law is to implement justice and avoid war. ..its disregard is undoubtably heading us towards war. I see it no other way.
