It's about somehow after 9/11, he Marlon Brando and Liz Taylor couldn't get a flight and they got a car and drove to California, so they only need the one white guy.
Most of the British sitcoms I have watched was on my local PBS channel in the 80's and early 90's. But now that I have BBCA, I am getting some of the British Drama series and sitcoms. The ones that I have watched both the British and American versions, like Law and Order, are pretty much the same. I have not watched Being Human yet, but I might.
You know what, quite a few men have played women, women have played men, does it really matter. The Wizard of OZ didn't need to be redone as The Wiz either, but it was entertaining. So let's not get our knickers in a knot, there are a lot more important things to worry about.
Don't lump all Americans together like that . I'm happy with my imperfections and everything. Life's too short to go bananas over the latest trend, or if your hair's out of wack lol.
Nobody is "outraged". I just think it's a little implausible. Still makeup can do interesting things. - - - Updated - - - Hair? What is this thing you speak of? Mine disappeared decades ago-saved a shed-load on shampoo though!
Oh I'm happy to debate that 'fact'. Firstly there's technical picture quality; the PAL system used in Britain and elsewhere delivers better pictures than America's NTSC variety. Next, advertising. In Britain commercial TV ads typically appear every 15-20 minutes and sporting events are never interrupted by ads other than at the normal breaks in whatever the event might be, and the BBC channels carry no commercial advertising whatsoever; in the US the frequency is much greater. Lastly there's the always subjective nature of the programming itself and that's something pointless to debate-we all have our preferences. Personally what I can't stand is the fairly recent introduction of 'reality' shows. These are cheap to make, require little in the way of imagination in their production and are predominantly total rubbish-and our tv is full of the wretched things, both domestic and US productions. http://www.diffen.com/difference/NTSC_vs_PAL
Its a certain time frame and its a 30 min comedy... At that point of his life MJ looked paler then most white people. So you would have had to put "White face" on a black man to get him to look the part. Of course that common sense point is beyond the BLM crowd.
funny, when a black girl was cast to play the girl in little orphan annie, and whatever that Catching Fire movie where the little girl that Catness liked, was cast as a black girl.... Blacks were mocking those that protested the change and calling those that didn't support the change.... racist. now they are upset when a white person is cast to pay MJ...... the ironic karma is palpable
Jackson fans are outraged..... it's not implausible.... MJ was white looking in his later years. Now, if they cast a white boy to play young MJ... that would be implausible..... but this is most likely a person cast to play the MJ right before his death
if you think nobody is outraged, then perhaps you should read the outrageous tweets and anger from the black community about white actors being cast in black roles... I would say they are immensely outraged... like I've long said, huge double standard in life, people still support one-way racism... entire movements are founded upon it... black lives matters has done nothing but push this into front and center on everything these days... when something happens, they demand all the white people get replaced and black people put in their place, and then demand more black people in other positions, despite sometimes already having a majority of them! it doesn't get better than some black cities demanding more black leadership, when they already have a majority black council, black mayor, black police chief, majority black officers, black superintendent, black majority school board... and yet they still cry racism and demand more black power... who are the ones that are racist at that point? believing the solution for issues is "more black people" means they are racist since they don't think white people are capable of leading them... which always brings me back to the discussion... so does this mean black people can't lead white people, in which case we need to replace black leaders with white leaders so the white people in that community are represented, and we need to replace that leader with an asian leader so they are represented, and then we need to replace that leader with a hispanic leader so they are represented... we can't have all of them be mayor at once... so if a white person isn't capable of meeting their needs, how can a black person be capable of meeting the needs of all the other ethnicities... and once they can't rationally and logically answer that, we finally find out they don't care about the others...
Michael was a bit bizzare, but you just can't resist a jab at Americans. But you are right, we do try to improve ourselves. For some reason, we prefer things like white teeth, not the mouth full of baked beans look of which the Brits are so fond.
penis envy. Britains are upset they owe their freedom to us..... when they used to own us. It's a classic case of the coach being surpassed by the student, and not wanting to admit to it.
Well, personally I value integrity and honesty over the shallowness of cosmetic appearance. - - - Updated - - - We owe you nothing-unless you can explain what this debt consists of.
"what color is Michael Jackson" - Hot tub time machine... The actor that plays him needs to start black and then become white, just like Michael. Probably easier to make a white guy black than visa versa.
Absolute rubbish. Hitler had already given up any idea of invading Britain (Operation Sea Lion) after the RAF defeated the Luftwaffe over Southern England in the Summer of 1940, over a year before America had war declared on her by Germany and entered hostilities. If you knew anything about WW2 history you would know this. Look up 'Battle of Britain' and educate yourself. Here, allow me: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Britain
