Syria had sectarian strife big time .. dating back to Bashar's father.. You need to get up to speed on your history..

The Saudis don't need a damned thing that Syria has..

Saudis were a little schitzo on Iraq wanting Saddam out of the way, but were nevertheless ticked off that the Shi'ite majority were to consolidate the leadership and power over there, but would not dare criticize the U.S. policy after the 9-11. They only applied the U.S. admin. logic to Syria, that the majority sect should rule if by force if necessary. So Syria was their cancellation prize/swap for the missed golden opportunity to overthrow Saddam but otherwise maintain a status quo, and for Iraq's slight subsequent approachment towards Iran. It also coincided with Israel's desire to weaken Syria, its traditional enemy. The Saudis see everything in terms of a sectarian struggle, while Assad offered a more secular alternative which appealed to more progressive elements in Syria. Before the Russian intervention the most radical elements instead had won or gained an upper hand.

Margot why do you keep repeating the same lies and garbage when I know people who were raving about Assad, and how lovely Syria had become. One family even moved back right before the Washington initiated protests started.

Face the facts Margot. The Christians, Alawites, Shias, and Sunnis in Syria like the freedom they have under Assad, and they like living together in their multi cultural and multi religious Syria. They do not want the Sharia law that the terrorists from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, USA and Israel want to impose on them for their own self serving interests. Would you?

the CNN videos are very real. Did you watch them? do you support the murder of innocent Syrian civilians by Russian jets bombing fruit markets? I think you do.

truth is --- a large segment of Syrians want Assad out, which started the civil war - something that was not caused by ISIS or Al Qaeda. I am a Sunni Muslim and want Assad dead as soon as possible. That doesn't make me a supporter of ISIS AQ etc.

It was because it was so sudden. Putin called Assad with no warning, told him what he was doing and announced it to the press.

If terrorist hide in fruit market and use civics as human shield than that's that. You still bomb the terrorists. Isis kept people from leaving the cities. And if that was not the case for them, they know that they are in a warzone. They should have left. There is no excuse for people who live among terroristsome like it's nothing.

there was no ISIS there or no military target as confirmed by the female CNN reporter. Seems like you don't mind the carnage, you love it.

    - - - Updated - - -

we must keep in mind that Russia has killed over 1000 civilians, even bombing ambulances who come to save lives. That is Russian terrorism which isn't a surprise because Russia is one of the biggest enemies of mankind since the days of the Soviet Union. Putin is one of the biggest terrorists in the world himself.

lol man -- do you know how stupid you sound? First you say ISIS is preventing people from leaving, then you say people should have left. Make up your mind.

I favor the assassination of Putin and Assad.

Oh yeh. I remember that place now. There was no Isis you are correct. There were a hellot of Al-Nurse members there though. You could look that one up. They had a strong presence in that city.

CNN has been compromised so many times with regard to their reporting on Syria that only intellectually limited people could possibly take CNN seriously any longer.

    An utter embarrassment.

Caught: Staged CNN Syria Interviews Faked By Activist Danny

    Full Story: http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2012...

~ Syria Activist Danny Caught Staging Complete Fake CNN Interviews ~

Syria activist Danny, the poster child to justify a military invasion in Syria, caught staging entire CNN interviews including directing fake gunfire off stage.

Raw video footage of the Syria activist Danny as he waits to do a live video interview with CNN shows him directing off-stage fake gunfire and explosions, as well as being directed to tell CNN he has been retrieving the bodies of civilians from buildings that collapse due to Syria army mortar fire. It also shows Danny totally exaggerating a sense of fear and urgency as he goes from being totally calm, smiling and even somewhat bored before the on air interview starts to acting totally scared, hysterical and pretending he is in the middle of a war zone as soon as the actual interview starts.

I have condensed footage of the original video to remove 5 uneventful minutes of watching him waiting around before the interview because most people will not stay interested long enough to get to the parts were he starts directing his off-stage actors to start the faked off stage gunfire. Also below are two detailed reports from the Intel Hub and Infowars on this incident, which outline more faked activist reports and other crimes committed by the rebels.

Whatever benefits Sunni radical movements and radical states could not possibly be in European interest. On the contrary, it would be the biggest mistake ever to allow Wahhabi state and Qatar to solely control energy supplies to Europe. No one wants to live in bloody Eurabia.

if you are defending Assad, you are with Russia and the Iranian mullah regime - along with Hizballah.

Also, the goofball who said CNN fakes all their videos --- LOL, right CNN has a CNN air force dropping bombs on fruit markets. Believe that!

Read somewhere that Assads mother encouraged him to deal with the revolt as his father dealt with the Sunni revolt, and criticized him for not being forceful enough as his father had been.

We were talking about a pipeline from Qatar through Syria. Would primarily benefit the European market for gas and therefore in their interest. Cant imagine what you are going on about.

It wouldn't give them control of any such thing.

It’s not going to benefit end user in any shape or form. I’m sick and tired of sucking up to Sunni extremist states in the Middle East. I don’t see how more Sunni Muslim mosques and further appeasement would benefit Europe in the long run. European history is full of bloody battles with Sunni Muslim invaders. We pushed them back in the past. It’s obvious that they are invading once again.
One thing liberals do not understand is that Sunni Muslims cannot be changed or integrated into the western societies. Their religion has been teaching them for centuries to dominate over others. And they adhere to it. Sunni Muslims will use all means available to them to finally subjugate Europe to their own will.

Continual alliance with Sunni radicals is a devastating policy. It’s a short-sighted treacherous policy, it’s anti-European, it’s anti-Christian, it’s anti-White etc…etc…The time is on their side. Their numbers are going up, our numbers are going down.

It’s all too easy for Americans to experiment with Sunni radical Muslims. You are far away from them. If experiment fails, which is inevitable, Europe will pay the price. We are in their neighborhood. Erdogan keeps reminding us.

This video doesn`t prove that it did Russian. You can simply replace the Russian on the Martians and believe in the truth of this video.

Putin has puzzled all again, Russia has trained pilots in war fighting conditions, utilized old bombs, has shown to the world strong new army (it has made advertizing on huge orders now) and work of 30 planes, is not military operations of big army therefore it too hasn't influenced economy in any way. The Russian military base in Syria remains. Peace talks in Syria are conducted.

    And

    To Syria the storm comes.
Khamsin - is a dry, hot, sandy local wind, blowing from the south, in North Africa and in the countries of the Middle East. Air temperature quite often exceeds +40 °C, with a storm wind force.

Khamsin arises in forward parts of the cyclones moving from deserts of North Africa therefore he can be saturated with sand and dust.

What a bunch of BS.....it was the Syrian MB who returned and led Protests against Assad.

Can you explain why the Christians in Syria weren't so keen on any Sunni being put in power? Why were they supporting Assad and not those weak snivilin and whining Sunni Arabs. Must be a damn good reason for them to choose Assad over some lame ass Sunni wannabe leaders.

When will the US and the Rest of the planet wake up and realize.....Arabs are incapable of producing real leaders.

Whatever one thinks of Assad, surely it would be better to live under his rule than that of Islamic State wouldn't it?
