What if they run together on the same ticket as a 3rd party?

Of the 8 tossup states Trump leads in none that have been polled this year. Clinton leads in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, New Hampshire and Iowa, I haven't seen any polls on Nevada or Colorado. But in Arizona a state Romney won, Clinton is tied with Trump at 38% each. Clinton leads by two in Utah.

The thing is, many of the current electorate have never heard of or have long forgotten all the baggage Hillary drags along from the past. This is baggage that will likely bring down her favorables a whole bunch, especially among women, if used judiciously in her opponent's campaign strategy. On the other hand, all of Trump's and Cruz's dirty linen has been constantly aired throughout the primary process.

I don't think we can predict how the polls will look and how the favorables and unfavorables will shake out once we are past the conventions and into the general election.

Joan Albert, 70, of the city's Somerton section, was blunt when asked why she switched after years as a Democrat.

"I don't like Hillary Clinton," she said. "I'd rather vote for Donald Trump."

Her husband, Marvin Albert, also 70, said he and his wife appreciate Trump's freewheeling speeches, drawn to what they see as his unusually candid nature.

"He tells you what's on his mind," Marvin Albert said. "He's not always right with what he says, but at least he speaks with what he feels."

Diana Albano, a 77-year-old retiree from South Philadelphia, has also been persuaded to support the outspoken businessman, even though she had been a registered Democrat who voted for President Obama.

"I like that [Trump] says what he believes," Albano said, admitting that she finds his bluster off-putting sometimes. "I'm not crazy about his approach, but I just like his honesty."

This is the beginning of the end, he is slowly start to show more and more that he does't know what he talking about. If he becomes the Republican Nominee, when he starts to have open debates with Hillary (maybe Bernie, but most likely her) he is going to fall flat on his face. She (honestly almost anyone) is going to run circles around him. He just talks in circles until people forget the original question and he then just talks about how great he is going to make America with his deals.

Who knows what will happen, but the above is a real head-scratcher. So, one of the most astute brand marketers in the country v a Democrat with far and away the -least- charisma of any democratic candidate since Dukakis means for certain that "he is going to fall flat on his face." LOL. I guess Nixon was a shoe-in to win debates versus Kennedy too. Riiiiight.

I had no idea the LW was so scared of Trump; so many threads and the fact that the LW sewer pipe is pumping overtime prove it though. Why so scared?

yeah buddy! we're still scared of Sarah Palin and all the other retarded jackasses they trotted out for years only to culminate with this embarrassment to bozos who is now looking over the cliff he's climbed with nowhere to go but straight down. the only thing we're afraid of is his orange ass hitting the neighbor's dog on impact. enjoy smoking on that sewer pipe to erase the memories!

It is scary that people in this nation really follow a man who has literally no clue what he is talking about. He just talks and talks about nothing honestly. There is no substance to anything he says, he just says "ISIS is bad", "Our borders are bad", "It is very important to do good things for this country, I have a good brain and I talk a lot." These are things that come out of his mouth.

Perfect example of him just talking truthfully about nothing is this.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq6UtGcGPLM

And there are many other clips of him just dodging the questions or just completely ignoring them and going off on his own agenda. He continues to repeat the same surface level ideas with no substance to them. We have no idea what his foreign policy his, he finally released names of those people who he trusts and talks to about foreign policy. Two of those men are energy lawyers and currently consult a bank. So no help there. Another man (Phares), on his personal website says he "taught Global Strategies at the National Defense University in Washington DC since 2006," although an NDU spokesman told POLITICO on Tuesday that Phares was employed there as an "expert/consultant" for one year, from April 2011 to April 2012. So he lied on how long he has been there, and then lied claiming he still worked there. He was there for exactly one year, not ten years.

The irony is that you don't see that Sanders and Clinton are exactly the same, and that Clinton has monstrous hurdles to overcome to boot. There is no intellect in US POTUS politics and hasn't been for decades. To elaborate, should Trump win the nomination, get ready for a complete transition calculated to win the POTUS, a transition to a much more statesmanlike persona. So far whomever he is paying to market him is doing a phenomenal job, our WHOLE MEDIA DIALOG is about Trump atm, he is the hottest topic in the country, good or ill doesn't matter at this point because his goal is not to win POTUS, but the nomination. He has utterly dominated pop culture, which was a calculated part of standing out in a crowded field of GOP candidates. Rest assured the strategy will shift masterfully and the tactics adjust in the national election because he is paying the best, and the Dems don't hold a candle in campaigning talent this goround. Keep the following in mind, all it will take is for Trump to show some feet of clay, to mea culpa a bit and look humble/human... something Hillary will NEVER do... and you think the masses are behind Trump now? Oh brother.

Then you have Hillary? Extremely unappealing. Got abused by a -freshman senator-?? Really? And go ahead and tell us just what "substance" either she or Bern are spouting that doesn't amount to free stuff and placards?

Your position is so typical of leftist/statists, I call it the "concerned social scientist." Their side? Must be proven to epistemological certainty. Your side? Came down from the mount with Moses... self-evident gospel. We'll see if the Complex has the raw numbers to pull this one out, because if Trump is a dog of a candidate, Hillary is a dog with fleas digging through the garbage can.

Trump is going to lose Wisconsin.

That will be the first domino in his certain implosion.

Always thought Trump was a buffoon. I support his plan for the wall and throwing illegal aliens out. This election is our last chance to save the USA as a sovereign nation.

He seems at this time to be losing the magic. Great news for Cruz. Don't know if the establishment will try to take the nomination away from Trump or Cruz and give it to someone else. If they try that they won't win a race anywhere as Trump and Cruz supporters stay home.

However, maybe Dems better get ready to feel the Bern. I don't know if the Constitution allows a felon and national security risk to serve as President from Levenworth. Based on reports of 147 FBI agents working on her case of endangering national security (not even counting the connection to the Clinton Foundation - the bribes and payoffs for favors for foreign interests) Hil may not have the distance.

Yeah, Trump is losing the magic. No doubt about it.

He will lose Wisconsin and be toast.

Not too worried about Hillary being indicted.

It is a 1 in a quintillion chance. And if it happens, Biden steps in.

The Dems got it in the bag, no matter what. No sweat. Case closed

You're speculating the same way I am: Trump the official GOP nominee will present little resemblance to Trump the primary candidate. This seemingly directionless, unfocused, say anything that comes to mind persona of his I suspect is 100% on purpose. The nominee Trump will be much more polished and presidential, but I suspect he will still talk to the people on their level instead of lecturing them and patronizing them like Hillary does. And that could be his ace in the hole.

Does anybody really believe a Donald Trump would not inform himself with as much as can be learned about any important decision he has to make? Whether you love him or hate him, how much worse could he possibly be than four or eight more years of the status quo?

We'll see. The media elites, the message boards, the pundits on Fox News and talking heads everywhere as well as the entire leftist/statist/progressive population on message boards keep saying that Trump won't survive this or Trump won't survive that. And then his poll numbers go up. He does absolutely everything 'wrong' from the way he expresses himself to the way he conducts himself to the words he uses to his fascination with Twitter, and his poll numbers go up.

I wouldn't count him out just yet.

COULTER: Our candidate is mental! Do you realize our candidate is mental? It’s like constantly having to bail out your sixteen-year-old son from prison.

um, Trump's got about ten years to go before he'd have the decent behavior of a 16 yr. old brat

Anderson Cooper called his argument that of a five year old.

Trump is manifestly unfit for office.
