Americans...don't we all just love each other after 8 years of Obama?

Reading through this thread fills me with a feeling of pessimism. I only hope my pessimism turns out to be misplaced.

There is reason enough to be fearful. There is reason enough to be angry. The working class has seen its standard of living decline for half a century. The Republicans are telling them to stop being lazy - the Democrats are telling them they are racists and deserve their fate.

But the problem is not some label, whether that label is 'conservative' or 'liberal' or 'racist' or 'socialist.' To the people who call themselves liberal, I would point out that calling somebody trash doesn't mean they are going away. The policies that created white poverty are not disappearing - in fact, they are going stronger than ever. What are you doing to create a world where every hardworking individual is able to support his family?

To those of you who think "liberal" is the source of every problem under the sun, I say this. The people in the Democratic and Republican establishment think you are a joke. They think you deserve everything you have gotten. And they could give two schmidts about conservative or liberal. Those are just the words they use to control you. Those are the words they use to keep you fighting each other, and not them.

Poll after poll confirms that race relations are much worst today than before Obama took office. Yes, this country is more divided than ever and that division is also on the political ideology side of things as views there have become harden, over religion, the non-religious vs. the religious, in quite a lot of walks of life.

2009 to 2015 less than 2% mean GDP growth. You just can't admit Democrat economics flat out doesn't work. The last 8 years proves that and if Hillary's elected that will continue as Obama's third term.

As the American presidency has passed from George Washington & Thomas Jefferson to Bill Clinton & Barack Obama, there are some who might suggest that this progression stands as a powerful rebuttal to the theory of evolution.

 

I agree that we're more divided than ever, but I'm not so sure 0bama deserves the blame for it. The conservatives have been positively shrill ever since his election in '08, and that, I think, has seeded the growing discord between left and right. The only major thing I fault the Big 0 for is his failure of a healthcare reform law. Otherwise he's just been generally pissing off angry old white guys.

See! myself and a HUGE Swath of Americans believed America's world was coming to an end after GW Bush did not protect America on 9/11/2001 and then the ensuing War in Iraq that seemed as if it was going to last a lifetime and the collapse of America's economy caused us to look in another direction and for 7 years, Obama has been one of the best Presidents in the History of the United States and as far as I'm concerned, my Financial situation, my healthcare and my sense of security have never been better under any President in my life time. Tell me why the Hell I should trust another Republican to screw up everything Obama managed to Fix. TRUMP, CRUZ, KASICH, Jesus! they are the worst of the worst in the GOP and I can't imagine that this is the best they have to offer to lead America.
