Syria: Mass grave found in recaptured Palmyra

Destroying history and artifacts of the base of Islam, doesn't sound like they really are Islam.

CNN) —Nearly a week after recapturing Palmyra from ISIS, Syrian forces say they're uncovering grim evidence of how the Islamist terror group conducted its 10-month occupation of the ancient Syrian city.

.....Palmyra, in the Homs countryside northeast of Damascus, is a place of ancient ruins that are considered to be among the world's most treasured, and is recognized by the United Nations has a World Heritage site.

ISIS demolished some of the ruins, including the 1,800-year-old Arch of Triumph and the nearly 2,000-year-old Temple of Baalshamin. ISIS also beheaded the antiquities expert who looked after the ruins.

Sorry my friend, isis members are Muslim; all of them. They are not some small sect the Muslim community at large aids and supports them. Isis' reach becoming global, doesn't happen in a desert vacuum they have a great deal of help.

Yeah, they've been doing that for well over a thousand years. Sunni VS Shia, etc. It's all about what interpretation of "Islam" is right. To your point they absolutely don't give a damn about Islam or "real" Muslims or the dozens of Surah's & versus in the Quran that explicitly tells Muslims to "NOT" do what they're doing.

The real reason why they blew up, tore down, and absconded with so much of the artifacts within Palmyra is because they saw all of that as "Kafir" artifacts as most of it was built & left by the Romans.

All Syrians which are mostly Muslims have worshiped, enjoy, protected, and loved that area of Syria since it was built over a thousand years ago, which strengthens your argument.

If all Muslims (the way a lot of the people in here bang on about constantly) thought the same way these terrorists do, or had the same agendas, these ancient, historic ruins would have been destroyed "years ago"..................but they weren't.

The reason why they weren't is because Syrians are very proud of Palmyra, and were devastated when ISIS took over that area.

I watched Syrian news anchor personalities & Syrian historical experts on "Syrian News Drama" network cry on television over how devastated they were when ISIS blew some of those structures up. (Syrian News Drama is actually an app for watching programs out of the Middle East you can only get on internet TV like Roku, Apple, Matricom, etc.)

My Syrian friend that I talk about frequently was un-consolable while she was trying to explain to me how figurines that represent the dead in the tombs of Palmyra are now being sold on the streets of Turkey as tourist bobbles while the people buying them have no idea of their historical value or what they truly represent.

ISIS (the way they do everything) stole a lot of artifacts from Palmyra, and now those artifacts are showing up in Turkey, and in other places to be sold for profit.

Seems as though somebody hundreds of years ago made a diorama of all the dead out of figurines, and strategically placed them so that they all appeared to be facing each other, and conversing with each other. (it "was" really cool, until ISIS came along)

There is no possible way in the world to put a value on that, and these ISIS f*ckers destroyed all of that for profit & twisted ideology.

Let me tell you something......none of people in this forum that come in here on a daily basis bashing Muslims with their idiotic pictures depicting Muslims as savages, pedophiles or killers or their stupid, immature, childish, one line responses that are beyond ignorant don't have the first clue of what they're talking about.
