Many do not understand why the Republican Party lost the last two elections....these same people may once again make it impossible for the Republican Party to win this time either.

'In recent weeks, there has been increasing discussion about the possibility that House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)56%
could emerge out of a brokered convention as the Republican nominee if the donor class is successful in denying Donald Trump

Just as Paul Ryan’s ascension to House Speaker represented a total repudiation of the GOP electorate by GOP lawmakers, Ryan’s selection as the Party’s nominee would similarly represent the donor class’s silencing of voters and voters’ views on immigration, trade, and foreign policy that have transformed the country and its role in the world.

Regardless, many in the “NeverTrump” movement have indicated that they would support Ryan against the wishes of the Republican electorate that has voted for Trump.'

The greatest enemy of the Republican Party is 'coinfusion'...which exists primarily because too many Republicans have the let and continue to let the mass media lead them around by the nose....their basic moderate and politically correct nature causes them to fear Trump...the media has exacerbated this to the point where a lot of these clueless Republicans are even willing to accept defeat in order to stop Trump....these wussies as Ann Coulter has corectly described them are pathetic and the greatest barrier to to getting America back on the right track.

“If we don’t have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I’m for none of the above,” said former House Speaker John Boehner, who exited the House shortly after teaming up with Ryan to give President Obama expanded trade powers. “I’m for Paul Ryan to be our nominee,” Boehner said.

The GOPe is scrambling for any alternative to Trump right now. As mentioned, for the past few weeks they've been setting the narrative to boost Ryan's public perception and visibility, most recently through his public 'Look at me admit I was wrong' statement aimed at showing how honest and level-headed he must be.

With the Cruz sex scandal growing more chaotic by the day, finding fallback candidates becomes even more important for them, though at this point I still think that any outcome short of Trump winning the nomination outright will result in the effective dissolution of the Republican base.
