Washington (CNN)Bernie Sanders said Wednesday that Hillary Clinton is not "qualified" to be president, a sharp escalation in rhetoric in the Democratic primary.

"Secretary Clinton appears to be getting a little bit nervous," he told a crowd in Philadelphia. "And she has been saying lately that she thinks that I am 'not qualified' to be president. Well, let me, let me just say in response to Secretary Clinton: I don't believe that she is qualified, if she is, through her super PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds. I don't think that you are qualified if you get $15 million from Wall Street through your super PAC."

CNN has reached out to the Clinton campaign for comment, and its surrogates responded quickly on Twitter.
"Hillary Clinton did not say Bernie Sanders was 'not qualified.' But he has now - absurdly - said it about her. This is a new low," campaign spokesman Brian Fallon tweeted.
Clinton was asked Wednesday morning by MSNBC whether she thought Sanders was "ready to be president."
"I think he hadn't done his homework and he'd been talking for more than a year about doing things that he obviously hadn't really studied or understood, and that does raise a lot of questions," Clinton said. "Really what that goes to is for voters to ask themselves can he deliver what he's talking about."

Rarely would I ever agree with a socialist but this is one of the rare occasions I do.
Perhaps not for the same reasons as Bernie but I do agree Hillary is not qualified to be Commander in Chief!
I thinks it's only matter of time before Bernie unloads on Hillary for her pending FBI investigation and lying to the American people about Benghazi.

We have to hope that he goes full Trumpster on her. She has failed at everything she has ever done, except being a crook. Failed wife. Failed Senator. Failed Sec of State. But as a crook, she has risen to the top of the political heap. Except now she is about to fail at that as well.

She may be successful at washing bedding in a prison laundry though.

Isn't it funny how Clinton is demanding that nobody say "mean things" about her but at the same time she wants to be able to go bash everyone else?

I mean is this the kind of spineless hack we want leading our country? What will happen if she becomes president, is she going to demand world leaders only speak nice of her, never contradict her or she is going to ignore them and not speak with them?

Typical Hillary, see things her way or she has nothing to say to you. Real presidential right there.

I am pretty sure I would vote for that. For one it is interesting as all get out. For two it would be Americas perfect chance to give the establishments on both sides the biggest middle finger they have ever received.

BTW did you watch the debate those 2 impersonators had? I swear to god I would rather have those guys running right now hahahaha.

if Sanders had started his campaign like this, he'd probably already be the nominee... is amazing to see his general kid-gloves approach with her slowly changing the closer we get to the end... I genuine think he would have blown her out state by state in the beginning if he was willing to show why she's not qualified and why he is... but all he did was compliment her, then say why he was good... while I admire the content of character there for doing that, it clearly was an ineffective approach to wait so long...

I'll have to agree with you.

During the first months of the primaries it was looking like he was a shill for Hillary.

Hillary’s campaign behemoth built on a mountain of secret cash
By Marisa Schultz April 7, 2016

WASHINGTON — The big-money campaign finance system that Hillary Clinton has pledged to dismantle as president is what’s fueling her White House bid, according to a new investigation.

The Democratic front-runner’s campaign behemoth is built on super PACs, secret cash and unlimited contributions — the very things she’s railed against on the campaign trail, according to the Center for Public Integrity.

The center said its investigation found Clinton’s own election efforts “are largely immune from her reformist platform.”

Clinton’s campaign committee has raised about $160 million compared to rival Bernie Sanders’ $140 million. But she’s buoyed by four pro-Clinton super PACs that have together raised at least $86 million and often work together.

These outside groups that can raise unlimited dollars are connected to David Brock, a longtime Clinton ally.

“She doesn’t just have a constellation, she has a galaxy — a Milky Way — of this outside funding,” said former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, a former Democratic presidential candidate.

Instead of denouncing super PACs — like rivals Sanders and Donald Trump — Clinton has embraced them, by “personally wooing potential PAC donors and dispatching former President Bill Clinton and campaign manager John Podesta on similar missions,” the investigation found.

Super PAC contributors include billionaire financiers George Soros and Haim Saban.

Super PACs are prohibited from directly coordinating with the campaign on spending strategy, but Clinton personally reached out to Saban to solicit the TV mogul’s “thoughts and recommendations” on how to counter the “boycott, divestment and sanction” movement against Israel’s presence in Palestinian territory, the investigation found.

“I will be speaking out publicly on this issue in the weeks ahead, so I am eager to hear your perspective and advice,” Clinton last year wrote Saban — who with his wife contributed $5 million to the Priorities USA Action super PAC. “Looking forward to working with you on this,” she added in a hand-written postscript.

Allies say Clinton is committed to undo the post-Citizens United campaign finance system, but in order to compete with Republicans and win the White House, she must play by the rules of the current system.

“When she is elected president, Hillary Clinton will make it a priority to restore a government of, by and for the people,” Clinton spokesman Josh Schwerin said.

Sanders says Clinton’s ties to super PACs make her unqualified to be president, and he continued to mock her big-money ties at an AFL-CIO convention Thursday morning.

“I will not leave here this morning and go to a Wall Street fundraiser,” Sanders told the audience in Philadelphia. “I will not be hustling money from the wealthy and the powerful. I grew up, in a sense, in this movement. You are my family. And we will win or lose this campaign on the backs of working families.”

Sanders’ campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, went a step further by accusing Clinton of selling her soul to the super PACs.

“She made a deal with the devil and we all know the devil wants his money in the end,” Weaver said on CNN.

The Left rails against the one percenters. Hillary is the epitome of the one percent, yet they seem to be willing to overlook her while they scream about others. Why is that? Hypocrisy much? Do they get it? I think not.

Sanders is right. Hillary is unqualified to be president. It is a pity he didn't start attacking sooner. Sanders is also not qualified, but he seems more honest than Hillary.
